The Powell Press: Easter Fun
http://thepowellpress.blogspot.com/2015/05/easter-fun.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Our little family had a fun Easter holiday with many celebrations. Since it was Barrett's first Easter to be an egg hunter, we thought it would be a good idea to practice his hunting skills. He practiced in the back yard as well as one at our church. All he ever wanted to do was dump! It wasn't until we had a belated egg hunt at Grandpa and JoJo's that he caught on there were yummy and fun prizes inside the eggs. Enjoy the smattering of pics from our many Easter festivities!

The Powell Press: 18 Months
http://thepowellpress.blogspot.com/2015/05/18-months.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Time slow down please! Our little man is getting closer and closer to being a two year old. Barrett is losing so many of his "baby" qualities and becoming a little boy. He is running and clubbing everywhere as well as talking so much! He got another great report from Dr. Troendle even though he screamed and fought us the whole time. Here are his stats:. Weight: 26 lbs. 4 oz. (77th percentile). Height: 33.5 in. (83rd percentile). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Day 3 - Heidelberg.

Lily & Luke: May 2014
http://lilynichols.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 21, 2014. FINALLY 4 and 6! Although Luke and Lily had birthdays in December and January, we decided to wait and have a farm birthday when the weather was nice. And last weekend was beautiful! Finally 4 and 6! Checking out the animals. Lily is an expert chicken wrangler! Lily's friend Ephrem was a little scared of all the animals, so Lily helped him pet some of them. She really is such a sweet girl! Time to meet the kangaroos! Luke was mad that we had to leave! We all had a great time.

The Powell Press: March 2014
http://thepowellpress.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 31, 2014. Barrett has really found his voice in the past few weeks. He loves to "talk" to us, laugh, and squeal with delight! So excited for our little one to say his first word! More Tummy Time Progression. That afternoon, I attempted to recreate the magical moment. Although he didn't roll over for me in this video, I did witness him raising up onto his elbows several times without screaming! Sorry for the dark picture! Since then we have moved onto squash which he loves. I think we ar...

East End Escapades: August 2014
http://eastendescapades.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 24, 2014. Just wanted to give a quick recap of Matilda's procedure. The night before, Matilda did great. She would have probably slept through the night if I didn't wake her up at 3 am to feed her (since she wasn't allowed to eat up to 4 hours prior to the surgery). They spent the next hour casting her. We expected the worst for the next few days, but Matilda has done surprisingly well. We've been giving her Tylenol every 6 hours to help with the pain, but she's almost back to normal M...

East End Escapades: March 2014
http://eastendescapades.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 29, 2014. Posted by Lauren H. Thursday, March 27, 2014. Today we had our ECV to try to flip Matilda into a heads down position. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. We could get her almost half way there, but there just wasn't enough room in my tummy to get her all the way over. As a result, we've scheduled a C-section for April 9th. 13 days away! Now we'll just be counting down the days until we get to meet sweet Matilda. Posted by Lauren H. Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Ummm I don't think the...

East End Escapades: October 2014
http://eastendescapades.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 12, 2014. Matilda is such a cool kid. We’ve had a great month with her. Can’t believe she’s already half a year old! No update here. Her cast is getting really tight, so I assume she’s growing. Sleep has shown huge improvements over the past month. She’s back down to waking up once or twice during the night. Hooray! We officially started solids last week. She ate banana a few days in a row last week and it was a success. This week we’ve been trying sweet potato and she thoug...We also bou...

East End Escapades: November 2014
http://eastendescapades.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 9, 2014. Another month has flown by! When Matilda had her cast change a couple of weeks ago, they weighed her prior to the cast change and then weighed her cast once it was cut off. Based on that, we'd estimate she weighed between 14-14.5 pounds and is around the 10% percentile for weight. We're still testing out solids. So far she's had banana, sweet potatoes, avocado, apples, carrots, and peas. She likes bananas and hates apples and has been ok with the rest. Lately she jus...We've don...
