Bermuda Vacation - Part1

Mark Twain once said, "You die and go to heaven, I'll stay here in Bermuda". South Shore has many pristine beaches including Warwick Long Bay, Jobson's Cove, Elbow Beach, and Horseshoe Bay. Jobson's Cove is a little enclosed cove in Warwick Parish. It is perfect for children to wade in its shallow and gentle water. The most easterly of the South Shore park is Warwick Long Bay containing 1 km of uninterrupted pink sand. To the West is Stonehole and Horseshoe Bay. Bermuda has eight championship golf courses.

Norway - Land of the midnight sun. When we arrived in Oslo, Norway, I marveled at the sight of so many blond and blue-eyed Scandinavians. We strolled past charming cafés and inviting shops in the Land of the Midnight Sun where daylight stretched well into the summer nights. A friendly Norwegian couple at the rail station lugged our heavy backpacks, bought us ice cream, and kissed us good-bye as we departed for our next destination.

Princess Cays, Bahamas. Princess Cays is about 30 miles from Nassau, at the southern portion of Eleuthera Island. Two miles wide and 100 miles long, about forty acres of this land is reserved exclusively for Princess Cruise Line passengers where they hosted a private beach party/BBQ. Mangrove trees surround the spectacular white sand beaches. Cushioned lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, tiki huts and hammocks strung in shaded areas made this a relaxing spot.

Click on any image for a larger picture. Brightly colored yellow, red, and orange row houses stood along the gently curved edge of Portofino's harbor. It used to be a sleepy little fishing village. Now it's a tourist mecca, popularized by celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Mel Gibson. Is not very far from Portofino to the Southeast in the province of Tuscany. I had to get some cash to pay for the boat fare and asked an Italian man where the ATM machine was. I only knew a few Italian words- Do've.
