Rao was the only Marathi-speaking Prime Minister we have had. So that should endear him to Raj Thackeray. He also spoke Sanskrit fluently, which should win him a fan in Dinanath Batra. The question is, why no newspaper has targeted the I&B minister over the issue the way Smriti Irani was targeted over certain appointments by her ministry? Is it because of Mr Jaitleys famously cozy relationship with the Delhi media? I partially agree with the libertarian argument that government has no business to run an FTII or an NSD.
