http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Eat it and say Yum! Monday, October 31, 2011. My family grew up eating aebleskivers. I love them, always have. Here is a recipe from allrecipes.com, with some slight modifications. These turned out so light and fluffy, and so delicious. You start by separating two eggs and beating the whites til they form stiff peaks. Add all the dry ingredients, except for baking soda, and stir. Then add some butter, egg yolks, buttermilk and soda -mixed, and beat til smooth. Last, fold in the egg whites. You will find ...

Eat it and say Yum! Friday, January 20, 2012. I made these for a Christmas party last month. They turned out really cute and they tasted great! I'm sure everyone has seen these on pinterest. Obviously I didn't create these. I'm not that creative. Just a great copy cat. Anyway, I used this sugar cookie. Recipe, from the Our Best Bites blog. It's the best sugar cookie I've ever had! And the royal icing. From Bake at 350. Her recipe was easy to follow and SO good! Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Then roll smal...

Eat it & say Yum!: February 2012
http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Eat it and say Yum! Wednesday, February 22, 2012. These biscuits are just what you would imagine good Southern biscuits to be like. They are buttery and pull apart easily. 2 cups of flour. 1/4 tsp baking soda. 1 Tbs baking powder. 6 Tbs cold butter. 1 cup plus 2 Tbs buttermilk. 4 Tbs butter, softened. Stir together all the dry ingredients. If you have a food processor it will make things easier on you. I don't have one, so I use a fork and a pastry cutter (? Not sure that is the real name). You could use...

Eat it & say Yum!: September 2011
http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Eat it and say Yum! Wednesday, September 28, 2011. I got the idea for this from something at Hobby Lobby. I still need to find a long frame for it. Goodwill, here I come! I used embroidery floss for the letters, vines, and the curves inside the pumpkins. Yarn around the outsides of the pumpkins. Any orange/ yellow or even some reds will work for the pumpkins. Stick a little batting beind them before sewing them down to add some depth. I also like how it looks against my black door. My lil' sis' taught me...

Eat it & say Yum!: Red R2D2 Cake
http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2012/02/red-r2d2-cake.html
Eat it and say Yum! Sunday, February 12, 2012. This cake was very intimidating. My son wanted this for his 7th birthday. I tried to persuade him to choose something easier, but was unsuccessful. I used 3 6-inch round cakes for the R2D2 body. Here they are with the crumb coat of cream cheese frosting already on. I covered them with fondant. However, I had too much fondant so I smoothed out the front and back and brought the excess fondant to the side and cut it off then sealed the seams. The cake did sett...

Eat it & say Yum!: Flower Cake
http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2012/02/flower-cake.html
Eat it and say Yum! Sunday, February 12, 2012. My little girl turns 4 tomorrow. She is into all things pink, purple, princess, ballerina, you get the idea. She decided she wanted a flower cake this year. But not a cake in the shape of a flower like most 4 year old girls might want. She wanted basically a wedding cake. This what I cam up with. Luckily she LOVED it! This was just an extra cake we had in case we ran out of the first one. We had a good sized party. I used fondant for the white.
