Donegal yarns typically contain a base made of three to six colours with added nepps or spots of colour. It is these nepps which are the defining characteristic of Donegal tweed, which can be bright and contrasting, or complimentary and tonal colours, or mixes of each. With our range of yarns literally thousands of patterns, subtle, rich and colourful, but always beautiful can be woven. Molloy and Sons Weaving Ltd 2011.
