Tales from my Craft Room: June 2014
http://suzannebramble.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 June 2014. My favourite projects are those that evolve while I am working on them. This is one of them. I am rather fond of seagulls (I know I'm in the minority! And wanted to do a machine embroidery incorporating a seagull. It started out just as a seagull on a patchwork background. That I was going to put in a frame. But then I thought it needed a bit of texture so I added the crochet lace. It looked a bit bare on the right hand side so I added some beach huts. Links to this post. I am comin...

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: The Great Birthday Festival, Part 20
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-great-birthday-festival-part-20.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Sunday, 17 August 2014. The Great Birthday Festival, Part 20. It has been a festival of many parts and while I do exaggerate slightly in the title (not quite Part 20 yet, though I'm getting there), the celebrations have. Been many and varied. There were lunches out and lunches in, glasses of bubbly, birthday cakes (yes, plural - who has just one birthday cake? In deference to my car stereo, which is stuck in the pre-digital age).

http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014/07/ocd.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Monday, 7 July 2014. A relaxing Sunday with no plans and no chores. Now doesn't that sound simply wonderful? I had a good start, walking along the sea-shore to the shops to get the Sunday papers (the sun was shining and the sky was mostly blue - a glorious morning), b. Ut ever the restless spirit, I soon gave in to the need to be doing something. Need to take it easy. Is fighting the good fight against my. Desire to be busy.

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: Figaro, Figaro, Figaro!
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014/09/figaro-figaro-figaro.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Tuesday, 9 September 2014. Figaro, Figaro, Figaro! For no reason other than their shared initial letters, every time I think of figs, the jukebox in my head starts singing Figaro's aria from the Barber of Seville opera (you'd know it if you heard it). Figaro is the name of the aforementioned barber and has not a thing to do with figs, but either way,. Who knew fig trees could grow on beaches? The King of Dates. I'm looking forw...

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: A rose by any other name...
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014/10/a-rose-by-any-other-name.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Thursday, 16 October 2014. A rose by any other name. Printed on the side. Altogether fabulous. Sadly empty Roses tin. The far less glamorous side of my tin collection, however, is the ubiquitous Cadbury's Roses tin, now sadly emptied of chocolates and used to house various items, baked or otherwise. The use of an empty biscuit or chocolate tin as a 'bits and bobs' tin was also fairly common in the past and a. Hat's a girl to do?

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: November 2014
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Wednesday, 5 November 2014. Just get me started and I could wax lyrical for hours about the marvels of butter. Its a natural product (unlike margarine), a source of calcium and vitamins A and D and, best of all, it tastes fabulous. And although I wouldnt use anything else in my cakes or icings, its equally wonderful in savoury cooking - s autéed mushrooms anyone? Men after my own heart. Paradise Bars in progress. Now this is all.

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: Baking and me
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/p/my-tory.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. It all began before I was tall enough to even see over the kitchen table top and had to stand on a chair to reach the mixing bowl. My mother was a firm believer in letting us try things ourselves and (thankfully) didn't mind the mess we made in the process (she was also a firm believer in making us tidy up after ourselves - clever woman! Apart from a brief emergency as a teenager, when my neighbour's cafe was let down by her re...

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: Gnome-man's Land
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014/07/gnome-mans-land.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Tuesday, 22 July 2014. Gnomes. A rather odd preoccupation and yet, there they are, stumpy little bearded fellows. With conical hats and brightly coloured. Tunics, constantly popping in and out of my head over the last few days. Possibly the onset of madness, but in this case I reckon I know the cause. Mississippi Mud Pie perhaps? Instead, today's post is all about being crafty. And b. Demented but still logical). Though I have ...

Clare's Bake Shop Blog: First dates & photo opportunities
http://claresbakeshopblog.blogspot.com/2014/10/first-dates-photo-opportunities.html
Clare's Bake Shop Blog. Tales from a girl who loves cake. The Bake Shop Blog. Thursday, 2 October 2014. First dates and photo opportunities. A lovely tea-pot in Hatch and Sons. At best, the camera might catch me with my natural resting face, which is pensive verging on serious. (Even when I'm thinking pleasant thoughts and I'm perfectly happy with life in general, strangers have been known to tell me to 'Cheer up love, might never happen! As a reward for such an exhausting experience (all that smiling!

Jessography: Redecorating...

Droitwich (Worcestershire) based photographer blogging about living a free life. Monday, 28 May 2012. This is my first ever blog! So as you can understand, I am a bit nervous. I love writing but have never been very public about it.until now :). I have been decorating the house, the hallway to be precise. Have you ever got to the point when a room just looks such a mess and something simply has to be done? How many of us are happy and content in what we are doing? At the end of last year I quit my job to...
