Monday, November 21, 2011. We had a really fun Halloween this year. Colbie was at the perfect age to go Trick or Treating and she and Alexis had a blast. Colbie especially liked a giant mummy we saw in someones window. People liked to give us extra candy cause the girls were so cute in their costumes. Thursday, March 10, 2011. I can't believe Alexis turned 6! We had a really fun birthday party with her at home. She requested a yellow cake with lemon frosting. It turned out really yummy. We sent her on a scavenger hunt to find a scooter. Colbie cried the whole time because she wanted to open all the presents! What a special blessing Alexis has been to our family! Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Right now we are getting ready for back to school. I can't believe the summer is gone already. In addition to becoming an independent sales rep. for Avon I have agreed to teach a creative movement dance class to 2 1/2 and 3 year olds at the studio where Alexis takes dance. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. When Colbie gets really happy or excited she smiles with her eyes closed we call it the "squint". Colbie always like to dump the whole box of toys out. Our sprinklers are half way done and it rained again! Last night we had a classic Nebraska thunderstorm with lightning lighting up the sky 360'. Thursday, October 28, 2010. This is our new cat we got from the animal shelter. He is a black domestic short hair cat with big green eyes. He was already named Cade that is what we are calling him. He is still really scared of being in a new place and is hiding alot under beds and in boxes. He really likes people though and likes to climb up on your lap to get petted. Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Colbie got into the mud. Having fun at the BD picnic. On of our ominous wall clouds coming through. It almost looks like a couple tornadoes forming. Notice the broken trampoline from the last storm? Found this cute purse pattern and made a couple purses for the girls. Cade loving being outside. Classic Colbie. One shoe on one shoe off, diaper, crown, makeshift stool, turning on and off lights, and escaping out the front door. Alexis on her first day of first grade.

Monday, November 15, 2010. Halloween this year was just about perfect except for Colbie and Alexis being sick. We made sugar cookies while listening to fun music, carved pumpkins, got delicious "daylight donuts", and drank apple cider. Shaun made his homemade chili with some chili base I canned from our garden tomatoes he got creative and added chunky stew meat and a few other secret ingredients to make it super yummy! What fun ages with my kids this year. I will cherish the memories! Take Five and Create.

Saturday, July 23, 2011. My Birthday. This cake was really good. Lemon with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. The girls out looking at the storm the day the tornado came through 1 hour to the south of us. My birthday present. A bike trailer. Yay!
