Makeshift Story: August 2014
http://makeshiftstory.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A place for pictures and stories about Juniper and Linden, and other things in life. Monday, August 25, 2014. Helping Grandpa with the compost pile. To suggest we went on a "road trip" this past week is actually kind of hilarious, as I feel like we have been in the middle of one crazy epic ongoing road trip since we left the Cape. But on Wednesday, we packed up yet again, and left the farm for the sparkling shores of Nova Scotia. Carefully bringing out the food. The gang, reunited. Carroll and the kids.
Makeshift Story: January 2015
http://makeshiftstory.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A place for pictures and stories about Juniper and Linden, and other things in life. Monday, January 26, 2015. Hanging out in Beebe Woods. This will, by necessity, be a rather short little post. It was one of those weeks where the camera barely left the shelf, and I therefore have very few photos to share. There are two important things to report, however. 1 It is now official - we're moving to Ottawa in April! Picture with the Cape Cod Bagel Marlin. Story time with Mary. Or, as you may have memorized my...
Makeshift Story: April 2015
http://makeshiftstory.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A place for pictures and stories about Juniper and Linden, and other things in life. Monday, April 27, 2015. This will not be a long, descriptive post. I can barely sit down long enough to figure out what needs to be done next over here. But I wanted to at least update for those who are anxious for news. The long and short of it: we all (eventually) made it! Killing time at the Toyota repair shop. What does that mean? I asked nervously, mentally adding that to the list of the drive from hell. "I'm SI...
Makeshift Story: May 2014
http://makeshiftstory.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
A place for pictures and stories about Juniper and Linden, and other things in life. Monday, May 26, 2014. It is Memorial Day here in the States, and this year we are celebrating by going on a hike with some good friends. So in the interest of packing food and getting our gear together, I will leave you only with a few pictures from our week. It was a good one - filled with activity and sunshine; visiting a wonderful new-to-us Café. Fastidiously glazing Juniper's bisque-ware. The highlight of the May Fair.
Makeshift Story: June 2015
http://makeshiftstory.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
A place for pictures and stories about Juniper and Linden, and other things in life. Monday, June 29, 2015. Last days and runaways. Juniper posing with Linden and Daisy the Doll on her last day of school. This past week simultaneously marked Juniper's last week of Kindergarten (! And Linden's day care provider's vacation week. It was, therefore, a wee bit hectic. The "dress and skirt" combo is one of Juniper's signature favourites. Walking the tracks mid-biking adventure. Sunday, June 21, 2015. Including...

Caleb's Coastal Life: Sunny days of Summer
http://calebscoastallife.blogspot.com/2015/07/sunny-days-of-summer.html
Thoughts on nature, nurture and raising two little boys by the sea. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Sunny days of Summer. Our co-pilot guiding the way to Kempt Shore while sporting his new 'fish head' hat. Having Sunny at the festival was better than I could have imagined. We were able to cook all of our own meals, instead of filling up on french fries from the canteen all weekend. We had our own bathroom, so no port-a-potties for us! It was quite hilarious. July 24, 2015 at 7:05 AM. July 25, 2015 at 2:34 PM.

Caleb's Coastal Life: February 2015
http://calebscoastallife.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thoughts on nature, nurture and raising two little boys by the sea. Monday, February 23, 2015. All bundled up: So sick, yet still so cute. He didn't move from this position during our hour long walk over the weekend. Oh, hello there bottom teeth! So we could mix it with the dry cereal and get the feeding started! I can't believe how quickly my little man is growing up. Odie wasn't nearly as excited as Caleb was about trying his first bites. But he soon discovered how much fun and messy food can be! I'm f...

Caleb's Coastal Life: How the parents saved Christmas (in July)
http://calebscoastallife.blogspot.com/2015/07/how-parents-saved-christmas-in-july.html
Thoughts on nature, nurture and raising two little boys by the sea. Thursday, July 30, 2015. How the parents saved Christmas (in July). I overheard him excitedly discussing this with the kids on the playground all day. At supper he told me that Santa was here last year, too, and that he arrives on a golf cart! Earlier in the evening. Oh, Santa, you really out did yourself this time! And that, my friends, is how the parents saved Christmas in July. Stepping up to receive his gift! July 31, 2015 at 7:02 AM.

Caleb's Coastal Life: December 2014
http://calebscoastallife.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thoughts on nature, nurture and raising two little boys by the sea. Monday, December 29, 2014. Christmas eve with Grampie Jeffries. Someone was excited to help decorate the tree! Caleb received the one gift that he had asked for this year - a microscope so that he can see what a germ looks like! I love that he is such a mix of Alan and I - part scientist, part musician and part his own quirky little self! As cousin Aly says, Caleb might grow up to be a 'sweater vest' kind of guy! C: Getting presents but ...

Makeshift Story
A place for pictures and stories about Juniper and Linden, and other things in life. Tuesday, April 3, 2018. We found a "new" spot in Point Pleasant Park! Seeing as the past weekend was our four-day Easter Break, this post is almost entirely a mini-chronicle of our long weekend adventures. We stayed put (having just had a big "away" adventure over March break), and I think everyone would whole-heartedly agree that it was a lot of fun. Fashion forward, in matching vests. After school that day, Juniper hos...
