Home is Where the Army Sends Us: Stonewall Jackson 1 Oct 1996- 26 June 2010

http://makingafamily-surrogacystyle.blogspot.com/2010/06/stonewall-jackson-1-oct-1996-26-june.html

Stonewall Jackson 1 Oct 1996- 26 June 2010. 28 June, 2010 at 7:22 AM. We have sad news to share today regarding one of our family members, Stonewall Jackson. With a very heavy heart we had to lay him to rest Saturday morning. He was 14 and was failing in health so much so we feared what the two week drive to Rhode Island might do to him, if he survived at all. Annabelle has said it best "Stonewall can play with Jesus now" and that is what he is doing, I am sure. Where there are no thunderstorms!

Home is Where the Army Sends Us: This is not a review of the campsite....

http://makingafamily-surrogacystyle.blogspot.com/2010/07/this-is-not-review-of-campsite.html

This is not a review of the campsite. 26 July, 2010 at 2:35 PM. Posted under Labels: Family. This is not a review of our campsite here in Virgina but merely a post about this leg of our journey North to Rhode Island. 35 is open" she tells him, "good, that is what we were wanting" states John. .#35 is the next row over but pulling through our #19 site is only two slots up the road so it was perfect! Today we went to Water Country, a part of Busch Gardens and had a blast! The water was warm and the air was...

Home is Where the Army Sends Us: Three states added to our map!

http://makingafamily-surrogacystyle.blogspot.com/2010/07/three-states-added-to-our-map.html

Three states added to our map! 27 July, 2010 at 7:28 PM. I realize the review of the camp grounds we stay at will be on the other blog but I really must share my joy with how awesome this one is! Like I noted in the last post, we are following Good Sam (an rv camper site) on the route and so far it has really been great. The only no-so-pretty place was the tunnel but that was pretty cool in itself. Annabelle dug it and wanted to turn around and go again! I forgot to mention we crossed the Mason Dixon lin...

Home is Where the Army Sends Us: Home is Tennessee... NOT where the army sends us, I lied!!!!

http://makingafamily-surrogacystyle.blogspot.com/2010/07/home-is-tennessee-not-where-army-sends.html

Home is Tennessee. NOT where the army sends us, I lied! 13 July, 2010 at 11:51 AM. Well, it is official! John is a Colonel! Yesterday was his promotion and we were so thankful to have so many family members (and friends) there! So thankful COL Thompson agreed to let him "pin on" a tad early to allow him to be with his Nightstalker. Addison was a crazy maniac the whole time, running around and yelling/talking/laughing. you name it, she was doing it! Bottom line, I am terrified something is going to happen...

Home is Where the Army Sends Us: Homeless....we kinda like it!

http://makingafamily-surrogacystyle.blogspot.com/2010/07/homelesswe-kinda-like-it.html

Homeless.we kinda like it! 21 July, 2010 at 7:13 AM. So, we have arrived at John and Carolyn's (AKA, Gran and Odie) but not without some Evans' adventure. I will back up a few days and fill you in,. We stop by the flying J to get the truck weighed and discovered that we were OVER our weight (17,000) limit counting what we were taking ourselves! YIKES We'll still get paid for 1500 or so but we were certainly heavier than expected. John called "road side assistance" and ultimately we were put in touch with...

The adventures of Craven: Wednesday

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009/05/wednesday.html

The adventures of Craven. Thursday, May 14, 2009. Wednesday we had a play date at the house. Thankfully the rain held out until today. Craven was pretty cranky all day for what ever reason. I hurt my foot pretty good. Otherwise it seemed to be a good play date. Later that day people for the play date started to arrive and I noticed that the area was red and filled with fluid. So, you can see that once again we were going to have to visit the doctor and not for his 2 year check up. Fire Station Fun 2009.

The adventures of Craven: Birthday Boy!

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009/05/birthday-boy.html

The adventures of Craven. Friday, May 8, 2009. Today is Cravens 2ND birthday. We went to Chick-flia and ate lunch and played. We will celebrate his birthday on Mothers day. I don't think we will make a habit of celebrating them together, but so far we have been. Yesterday he did not have to have any pain meds until 3:00am this morning. Yeah! He has been sleeping better already, so we are crossing our fingers that once he is no longer waking from pain that he will sleep all night. Fire Station Fun 2009.

The adventures of Craven: Catching up

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009/06/catching-up.html

The adventures of Craven. Monday, June 22, 2009. Let me just say that it is not easy posting when things happen and then it gets further and further away from the last post. Anyway, I will try to do a little random catching up. We were going to go camping for a couple of nights and see how it went. Well, Kurt called and asked if we wanted to stay at their cabin and guess what? Pee Pee in the potty! 2 year check up! Thats all I can think of for now. Randall, Sharelle and Craven. Fire Station Fun 2009.

The adventures of Craven: Saturday

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009/05/saturday.html

The adventures of Craven. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Last night Craven went to sleep around 10:45 and guess what, he slept all night. Randall said he had to wake him up around 9:30 this am. Bad news is he fell a sleep at 10 to 7:00 tonight and he will not stay a sleep. Ugh! I step forward one and a step a gazillion back. Craven found Randall's spray water bottle (for the grill) on the porch and would turn it on himself and spray. He thought it was soo funny and it was to watch. We videoed it.

The adventures of Craven: Sunday

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009/05/sunday.html

The adventures of Craven. Thursday, May 14, 2009. Sunday was Mothers day and we also decided to celebrate Cravens birthday too. Randall said Craven wanted him to make me pancakes and bacon for Mothers day breakfast. That was my gift. LOL. Grammy and Papa, Aunt Carolyn and cousins Annabelle and Addison came over to celebrate. We had smoked ribs and chicken. Carolyn, and the girls got Craven a couple of really cool books. Thank you. All in all I would say a good Mothers day and Birthday.

The adventures of Craven: January 2009

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

The adventures of Craven. Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Uncle Kurt, Aunt Sharon and cousins Nathan and Caroline invited us up to their cabin the weekend before Thanksgiving. The cabin is in Pigeon. Forge, 5 minutes away from the main strip, but it still seems to be away from everything. If you go you will know what I mean. It is beautiful and the view is awesome. Did not shop, but I know shopping is great too. I will post a link as soon as I get one. He also went on his first official. I had a friend.

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

The adventures of Craven. Friday, October 31, 2008. Last year on Holloween Craven was a tigger and we sat on the porch handing out candy. This Holloween Craven was a chicken and we actually went out trick or treating. His first official holloween! Now the pull my hair out not so cute, but paid good money to have the aggravation update! Randall, Sharelle and Craven. Sunday, March 15, 2009. Craven had his first severe case of hives when he was about 11 months old. Not sure why. Something he ate, stress, inhaled, it could be anything. Randall, Sharelle and Craven.

The adventures of Craven: December 2009

http://cbrupe587.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

The adventures of Craven. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. We leave for Texas tomorrow (wed) for the Luedecke Christmas. The family has not seen Craven since he was 7 months, so it will be quite a difference. We only get a chance to see them every other Christmas. We've tried to get to Texas before now, but if we go on any type of trip we just can't go there too! Randall, Sharelle and Craven. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fire Station Fun 2009. makingafamily – I'm not really sure what I'm doing

I'm not really sure what I'm doing. Maybe I Just Like to Say “Helpmeet”. October 25, 2011. I saw a mention of a book called. Created to be His Helpmee. T today, and that title is…well, it is exactly the sort of title to provoke outrage and indignation from educated women like myself, and not without reason. Now, I haven’t read the book, and I almost certainly will never read the book. But I do think of myself as my husband’s helpmeet. The thing is that I also think of him as mine. October 25, 2011.
