April | 2015 | making and cultivating
https://makingandcultivating.wordpress.com/2015/04
An ongoing attempt to make student life a little bit greener. Recipe: balsamic and basil strawberries. April 17, 2015. April 17, 2015. Ok so bear with me, this may sound like a strange one but it actually tastes really good! I’ve got a lot of uni work on at the moment and I always feel like I work better with something tasty by my side to snack on as I work, to fuel my brain obviously. Usually, my go to studying snack is a big bag of wasabi peas, I love those spicy little suckers! 1 tsp balsamic vinegar.

An ongoing attempt to make student life a little bit greener. Things to do with fresh mint. March 9, 2015. March 24, 2015. Rather disappointingly none of the herbs that I planted from seed seem to be doing much yet (but I still live in hope! And I was getting a bit bored of waiting so I decided to go out and buy a ready grown plant to tide me by. You can also strain the leaves out, maybe with a coffee filter or something similar, but I didn’t have anything like that to hand, it’s ok to drink ...I think i...

An ongoing attempt to make student life a little bit greener. Recipe: thai sweet chilli sauce. February 28, 2015. March 1, 2015. Since buying my chilli plant a few days ago, I’ve been um’ing and ah’ing about what I should do with the new readily available fresh supply of chillies that I have on my kitchen window sill. I wanted to make something that was cheap, simple and delicious in equal parts, something that students would want to eat and would be more than able to cook. 100ml white wine vinegar.

An ongoing attempt to make student life a little bit greener. Recipe: ditch the takeaways 2: chicken chow mein. April 13, 2015. April 13, 2015. Another post helping you to ditch those takeaways! This time around I’m targeting a Chinese takeaway favourite, chicken chow mein. The calories in a serving of takeaway chicken chow mein varies from restaurant to restaurant but it could be anywhere from 600 calories to over 1,000 and will cost you approximately 4.50! I used magically regrown spring onions. In a b...
