Making Base Camp

Saturday, December 19, 2009. Today we sold the house. Now it is someone else's dream to recreate. Posted by Craig and Glynis. Saturday, November 7, 2009. 9 days to go. To have the rooms to be photographed ready, then we have 4 days to have the remaining rooms ready for the open day. So far: the dining room has been decluttered, the lounge has been decluttered, half the bathroom and half the front room. Yet to do: master bedroom, the "box" room, the sunroom, the dog's room, the laundry and the kitchen.

Making Base Camp: May 2008

http://www.makingbasecamp.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 19, 2008. Our neighbour out the back has been over to discuss rebuilding the fence. There has been neighbourhood discussions about the big tree out the back. Some talk of chopping the tree down etc etc. But that is not happening, and probably not without council intervention. So the tree stays. Posted by Craig and Glynis. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunday, March 1, 2009. Stage 2 mini make over: kitchen basically complete. This mini renovation will see us through for a couple of years. It will just make life a bit more comfortable in this old house until the huge reno begins. Now we have a new fridge (with chilled, filtered water on tap and makes ice cubes! And a fantastic cooker and a dishwasher that actually does its job properly. Posted by Craig and Glynis. View my complete profile. Stage 2 mini make over: kitchen basically complete.

Making Base Camp: Rumours afoot

http://www.makingbasecamp.blogspot.com/2009/04/rumours-afoot.html

Saturday, April 25, 2009. Our neighbour on the north side (who is renting) believes his landlord is planning on renovating their house. Which means we may be getting new neighbours in the future and a new/renovated building next door. Not sure if this is good news or not. We would miss our current neighbours. But if we can time our renos with theirs then the issue of site access may be solved somewhat. Posted by Craig and Glynis. View my complete profile.

Making Base Camp: June 2008

http://www.makingbasecamp.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 27, 2008. Posted by Craig and Glynis. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. We had a site visit from a prospective builder. He took photos, and had a good look around. He hadn't been over the plans as yet, so he wasn't too sure what he was looking at initially. Luckily I have marked out some key structures on the ground (for out benefit, not anyone elses really) so he had some clue. Not sure if he's keen. There are issues of access particularly for demolition purposes, but not impossible. Its out the door.

Travelogue, personal news and views. Thursday, May 25, 2006. Mum is back home. This morning Mum was allowed home from the hospital, to everyone's relief. She did find the drive back a little wearying so she slept for most of the afternoon in her own bed. Tonight Marlee went to visit her, as she had been asking about Marlee whilst in hospital. We had a sit down dinner, something Mum hadn't done for a while, and Marlee ran around like the silly dog that she is. It seems Mum has her appetite back too. Cam a...

At first she wasn't sure what to do, and actually went backwards, before she got the hang of chasing the lure. She won her first official race, and came second in her next.
