Gripping period drama with wry humour. In post war Germany three lawyers from different countries meet to settle a large reparation claim in conjunction with the new German Federal Indemnification Law which, apparently, seems open to abuse. Consequently, as the story unfolds, a serious doubt occurs as to whether the victim in the reparation claim is actually dead and a routine legal assignment turns into a hair-raising adventure through Southern Germany and the Bavarian Forest.
