Emily's Big Adventure: Moving, Unpacking, and Preparing
http://makinghealinglooklikechildsplay.blogspot.com/2011/01/moving-unpacking-and-preparing.html
Sunday, January 9, 2011. Moving, Unpacking, and Preparing. But how can you possibly nonchalantly walk into an opportunity like this? I feel nervous, excited, and so many other emotions right now! Tomorrow I will literally begin my career. This internship carries a lot of weight into future job recommendations and possibly even a job offer. In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my song. This Cornerstone, this solid ground. Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. You are going...
Emily's Big Adventure: This is only the beginning...
http://makinghealinglooklikechildsplay.blogspot.com/2011/01/this-is-only-beginning.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. This is only the beginning. I know it has been more than a week since my last post, but I have been super busy! Two months is too little, they let him go. They had no sudden healing. To think that providence. Would take a child from his mother. While she prays, is appalling. Who told us we'd be rescued. What has changed and. Why should we be saved from nightmares. We're asking why this happens to us. Who have died to live, it's unfair. This is what it means to be held. Be strong...

http://makinghealinglooklikechildsplay.blogspot.com/2011/03/slow-down.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Well, blogging on a regular basis has been a complete fail on my part! There are some days I am utterly exhausted and simply cannot think about one more task.I'm sure some of my fellow child life interns can sympathize! So here is the update on where I'm at right now:. I absolutely love my work in the ED! In the coming weeks as I am applying to jobs I would really appreciate all of your prayers! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! Emily's Big Adventure: Emily's Big Adventure-Part Two
http://makinghealinglooklikechildsplay.blogspot.com/2011/07/emilys-big-adventure-part-two.html
Saturday, July 30, 2011. Emily's Big Adventure-Part Two. This update required two posts, so I encourage you to scroll down to part one first! Once I received the offer I immediately accepted. It felt like accepting a Mercedes over a Toyota, in comparisson to a 12 month fellowship! One bedroom apartment, second floor, alarm system, washer/dryer, granite counter tops, etc. Plus, it's less than 15 minutes from All Children's! I definitely had faith that God was going to bring me through the crazy days ahead!

http://achildishperspective.blogspot.com/2014/02/this-is-me.html
The next chapter of my life- finding that ever-elusive balance between reality and fantasy. Friday, February 28, 2014. I'm staring down the bottle of pills sitting next to me. It's seemingly innocuous. Transparent orange bottle, light blue lid. A label on it that has my name, the pharmacy information, and the dosage instruction. Its the word in between that terrifies me: Escitalopram. That all came to a halt back in January when on a day off (thank God! Would you say you are stressed? This is just me.

The next chapter of my life- finding that ever-elusive balance between reality and fantasy. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. I apologize for this stream of conscious post. I am deliberately not re-reading and editing. It is what it is, because that is what I need it to be. Unhampered by grammatical and societal expectations. A simple pouring out of my heart as I grieve and process. We lost a patient this week. I had a million and one posts to write. Updates on different adventures, funny happenings. I would...

http://achildishperspective.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
The next chapter of my life- finding that ever-elusive balance between reality and fantasy. Thursday, December 27, 2012. I held a newborn baby at work. Innocent, fragile, untouched by the world. There is something so magical about the skin of a newborn; soft, pink, smooth, not yet marred by the hazards of the world. Those who have not ever experienced feeling like they are worth someone, or taught right and wrong? When do we start accepting responsibility for helping them see a better path. That experien...
