Making More with Less

Giant Rainbow Quilt - Pattern Testing. I recently had the privilege of testing a quilt pattern for Susan of Crafterhours. Fame Lots of fun! I made mine a twin size quilt for my oldest, Ben (14). He picked out the fabrics, all from Windham Fabrics. The pattern turned out great. I worked with a great team of ladies who all tested the pattern, gave feedback and in turn Susan changed and tweaked the pattern so it's worth it. Buy it here. Is a wonderful place to spend some time in God's creation. I'm popping ...

Making More with Less: Half Square Triangle Madness

http://makingmorewithless.blogspot.com/2014/12/half-square-triangle-madness.html

Half Square Triangle Madness. It's no secret that I love scraps. With my scrap bin overflowing again I dove in and started another quilt. Why not right? This quilt was not a quick quilt to piece but it was so much fun. So repetitive, easy and colourful. First the dive into the scrap bin, then the pressing, the stitching, and then trimming each HST unit down to the correct size. I really like trimming my HST's down after stitching, They are much more precise to piece together after that. I love it, Alisa!

Making More with Less: October 2014

http://makingmorewithless.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Blogger's Quilt Festival - May Stars. I thought I'd enter my 'May Stars' quilt into the scrappy division of the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I made this quilt bit by bit with a newborn in the house. Being a bit more house bound than normal I decided to dig into my (larger) scraps and make a quilt to hang on my family room wall. It was fun and I love staring at it on my wall. Cross Quilt for Prolife. I quilted it with swirls. Still not perfect but better than the last time I did them! Salt Air Table Runner.

Making More with Less: July 2014

http://makingmorewithless.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

I had really good intentions of getting these done well before summer and even started cutting them out during the Spring Kids Clothes Week, I finished the last one just before swimming lessons started. I've made this pattern for Anneke a couple time already but it doesn't seem to be getting any easier! The end result is very satisfying though. I was tempted to just get rid of the fabrics I have left but now that they are done I'm not so sure :). Photo bomber bracing himself for the big bounce! Follow th...

Spending the afternoon working on this applique quilt. First custom order ever! Great way to spend my birthday! Linking up to WIP Wednesday. Over at Freshly Pieced. First Day of Spring. Walking to the park and library, eating outside, laundry hanging, and soaking up the sun. Tomorrow we'll be back to rain but we did have one sunny day to remember. Little Birds Wall Hanging. Every year I intend to make a springy wall hanging to replace my snowman one and I finally did it this year! And I fell in love :).

Wednesday, July 6, 2011. And a few other projects. First off, I finally decided what to do to finish of my black dress. I shortened it by a few inches and used more of the teal to do an outside casing over the elastic under the bust. I think I like it a lot more now! And I whipped up a Charlie Tee for Project First Day. Super easy to understand pattern! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). the farmers: February in review

http://dansarahdevries.blogspot.com/2015/03/february-in-review.html

Monday, March 9, 2015. So it's been a while since I've blogged. Can you guess why? Blake and Brianna especially liked having their cousins here every day to play with. Here's a few pictures of our fun together. Brooke and Katie are only 4 months older than Blake. We did lots of fun stuff together, like play time and story time at the library. We also played with playdough about every other day. And lots and lots of story time! Monday, March 09, 2015. Wednesday, March 11, 2015. View my complete profile.

.:Lil Bean:.: Canvas portrait

http://lilbeanbaby.blogspot.com/2011/12/canvas-portrait.html

Wednesday, December 21, 2011. I got a few pictures of our new little sweetie printed and followed this tutorial here. To mount them on canvases. I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out, but am nervous to try the 11" x 14" one I printed too. This one is 8" x 8". I hope I didn't go overboard with the "antique-ing". Now THAT.is a precious picture! December 10, 2012 at 3:23 PM. What a sweet capture of your precious little girl! And I adore the headband, too - very cute! Did you make it?

Thursday, June 30, 2011. And here's the outcome! Thanks for the suggestions! I added about 10" to the length (may take a bit off, as it feels just too long). Does it need anything else? I have a small piece (about 12" x 30") of the teal left. Any ideas for me? I found this dress at Walmart for $9 yesterday. I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of this. Will be a sort of prairie style, I guess. I could do less gathers, or no gathers, or pleat it? Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Upcycled Men's Dress Shirt. I placed the col...

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Finally some time to update! This is why I haven't blogged in a while:. It's been a while since I posted here! I have been very busy since my last post in July. I was in the hospital on bedrest for a few weeks, then another few weeks with our daughter Abigail Grace in the NICU after my c-section. She is doing well - already 4 months old! Abigail, one day old. Ready to come home! Her little outfit I knitted while waiting to come home:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://lilbeanbaby.blogspot.com/2011/06/more-knitted-things-for-baby-girl.html

Thursday, June 16, 2011. More knitted things for baby girl. I've slowed down some with the knitting lately, as I'm finally feeling a little better this pregnancy - enough to get out more and do other things. But here are the last two finished items, which were waiting for buttons till last night. This is the dress I posted about. A while back - I chose the hearts fabric. I think it's about a size 6-12 mo (stretchy bodice because it's knitted). Labels: american girl doll. June 17, 2011 at 9:22 AM.

Making More Than Food | …and devouring more than just a meal.

Making More Than Food. 8230;and devouring more than just a meal. ”. June 14, 2011. The only thing that got me to Chicago’s Blues Fest. This past weekend was the promise of deep dish pizza. That is all. I am not saying I don’t enjoy blues music (because I do to a certain extent) but when invited to go all I could manage was a fake smile and a less than enthusiastic “Sure, sounds fun.”. But at that moment I could have cared less. PS I am going to Taste of Chicago. Posted under (food) diary. June 13, 2011.

This is the bread that came down from heaven.he who feeds on this bread will live forever. John 6:58. Friday, August 7, 2015. This is Dedicated to the One I Love. While this day may have felt like a fairy tale, the reality of marriage is anything but. Sometimes I think we can get caught up in Facebook and Instagram fairytale-land that paints a picture of perfection and all things beautiful. Newsflash: Marriage isn't always lovely and starry-eyed. If we want to have a great marriage, we have to be willing...
