Mum in the making

Day in a Life. Monday, January 22, 2018. Cooking Casebook: Baked fish in lemon cream sauce. These days I've been trying to cook more fish. I'm not much of a fan of fish, I think mainly because I was "forced" to eat a lot of fish during my first two confinements. However, the hubs and the kids love fish, and I have been trying to widen my repertoire of fish dishes. The sauce turned out pretty amazing (but I overcooked the fish, because I miscalculated the time! Baked Fish in Lemon Cream Sauce. Or a baking...

Mum in the making: Read: Exploring Art with children

http://makingmum.blogspot.com/2015/07/read-exploring-art-with-children.html

Day in a Life. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Read: Exploring Art with children. I've been pondering about how to explore and talk to my boys about art. While we have our so called " Art Adventures. Where we dabble in various crafty pursuits, we've yet to go into any serious exploration on artists and their works of art, save for a few co-op sessions where the kids listened to stories about the lives of various artists, and then did some art activities inspired by the artist's work. I've embedded the video.

Mum in the making: Thankful Tuesday: Simple is best

http://makingmum.blogspot.com/2015/07/thankful-tuesday-simple-is-best.html

Day in a Life. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Thankful Tuesday: Simple is best. We've just returned from a short trip to Tioman! We went with some friends and their kids, and while it was quite a challenge getting there and back (there was the drive, then the 2 hour ferry ride, and lots of waiting), I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I had a chat with the kids about what they enjoyed about the trip, and they all agreed that they enjoyed playing at the beach most. Which more or less confirms this article.

Mum in the making: Choosing a balance bike: Tips, a review and giveaway

http://makingmum.blogspot.com/2015/07/choosing-balance-bike-tips-review-and.html

Day in a Life. Monday, July 20, 2015. Choosing a balance bike: Tips, a review and giveaway. We used to learn cycling by removing the training wheels off our bikes. I remember how tough that was, pedaling and wobbling around the roof of our multi-storey car park, with my dad holding my bike steady. But oh, when we finally got the hang of it! I recall the sweet sense of victory, of being able to balance, without needing someone behind you to hold your seat steady. Consider the weight and material:. You can...

Day in a Life. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Thankful Tuesday: Going forward. It has been quite some week! Anyway, this is old news. But we were awarded the "Top 10 Most Popular Blogs" award at the Singapore Blog Awards. There's going to be major changes up ahead (I'll share in time to come! Accounts. Meanwhile, I'm still thankful: for this season in life for sorting and slowing down, for times with my three little boys, for friends and family. Here's wishing everyone a blessed August ahead! Mum in the making: Thinking Thursdays: From a Christian Chinese mother

http://makingmum.blogspot.com/2011/01/thinking-thursdays-from-christian.html

Day in a Life. Friday, January 21, 2011. Thinking Thursdays: From a Christian Chinese mother. Dearest little boy,. While you've been busy having fun with bear-bear, running around and "play-cooking", lots of mamas around the world have been hotly debating Amy Chua's article. I think being raised by Chinese parents does mean stricter rules, and sometimes, higher expectations. Your papa read the article and to my surprise, he said he agreed with it! Posted by Mama J. the electric ducks!: June 2015

http://electricducks.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 21, 2015. S far as beach vacations go, this certainly wasn't what we had expected. Lured by the prospect of the sun, sand and sea, Hubby D and I decided to return to Phuket (we haven't been there since 2008) for the June break. Thanks to my dad who had the foresight to rent a car, our vacation was made much better by the fact that we could travel and did not need to worry about the rain. The best Thai food we had was at this little unassuming coffeeshop Kopitiam by Wilai. Not much has change...

the electric ducks!: December 2013

http://electricducks.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 22, 2013. Sydney 2013 - the scenes (Blue Mountains). E decided to stay at Lurline House, a bed and breakfast place in Katoomba, Blue Mountains. The location was fantastic as it was a short walk to Echo Point and also close to other major attractions such as Scenic World and Katoomba Falls. We spent three nights at Katoomba and the family unanimously agreed that it was probably the best part of the trip being close to nature and just chilling out. Sydney - the scenes (city). Hat can I say?

the electric ducks!: August 2014

http://electricducks.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 9, 2014. Happy 49th Birthday Singapore! Sunday, August 3, 2014. Y a stroke of luck, Hubby D managed to get two tickets to the preview of the National Day Parade. And so it was decided that Mummy would bring Kieran to the event. It was a blistering hot day but that did not dampen Kieran's spirits. First, a fuel stop before making our way to the Marina Bay floating bay. Mummy was keen to check out Patisserie G. Verdict: cakes were great but coffee was a tad too acidic. Wefie - Mummy and me.

ahjune's: November 2011

http://ahjune.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Bear with me while i blog a li'l. Friday, November 25, 2011. Yea, the much. Awaited school holiday is here! So, what have we been doing? If you are a fulltime mommy with more than 1 child, you may probably tremble just a wee bit like me. I began cracking my head just a week back and made some mental notes in my head on what we could do at home (or out). I had a few things lined up for the kids, actually:. We got the kids a new plastic pool but haven't got the chance to take it out for the kids to waddle.

ahjune's: Jordy and his "milk-milk"

http://ahjune.blogspot.com/2012/03/jordy-and-his.html

Bear with me while i blog a li'l. Thursday, March 08, 2012. Jordy and his milk-milk. Jordy was exclusively breastfed since about 2 weeks old (after I started lactating more consistently). He was breastfed direct, without bottle nor any other baby-feeding device. You must really truly earnestly have alot of love and patience for your child! He would indeed grow up to be a genius! He must have excellent immune system! Well, here's the catch. Weaning doesn't come easy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://ahjune.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Bear with me while i blog a li'l. Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Blessed 2012 to you! Haven't been blogging. The festivities are a little too close this year. Chinese New Year is just round the corner when Christmas was just less than a month ago. I had even taken down the Christmas tree in a hurry this time. Lols! Thought I'd just post photos of the kids. Jordy shuts his ears and says "Too loud" when I was using the hair dryer. Milk time for both kids, feeding Jordy more formula now and hoping to. Serves 2 ...

Temperature – Check! | mummyblabber

Another mummy who blabs. Temperature – Check! April 22, 2011. Today must have been the worst day of his teeny weeny life so far, all 4 months and 3 weeks of it – Little Xavier is sick. We knew it would be inevitable that he will get sick some time, especially since we decided to put him into infant care, but we never thought it would be this soon. And my, I certainly never thought it will be this difficult to see my baby boy coughed and sniffed while looking at us with pleading eyes to comfort him. Enter...

https://mummyblabber.wordpress.com/2011/03/04/omg-theres-a-sale

Another mummy who blabs. How to fatten a baby? OMG, there’s a sale! March 4, 2011. When I was younger, I used to take leave from work just so I could be the first in line at the sale. Clothes, cosmetics, household necessities, electronics – you name it, I’ve been there. I mean, who can resist that brand new DKNY skirt at only $30, albeit past season? Speaking of which, I still have that pile of lipsticks tucked away at the back of my vanity cabinet – don’t tell my hubby. 2 Departmental store sale. Most o...
