Lurline's Place: April 2013
http://lurlineg.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 27, 2013. How easy is it when one doesn't venture forth! This is the result with my trusty Olympus and Picasa. I hope you all manage to get a bit of stitching in over the weekend, with a bit of luck I will. 8 Lovely People said . Thursday, April 25, 2013. Today as we remember our soldiers from the past, it is with deep gratitude we send our love to those who have our welfare in their hands now - God bless! Can't you smell those roses? From this point I will say ta - ta as everything is pr...

kettleboiler: the road to recovery
http://kettleboiler.blogspot.com/2014/10/the-road-to-recovery.html
Tuesday, 21 October 2014. The road to recovery. So, if I was bucket list-minded, I could now add and tick off "catch pneumonia" to the list. Not much fun, especially when Laughing Boy caught it too (well, I caught it from him) and, to be fair, his was much worse #obvs. We don't do things by halves, chez kettleboiler! A long winded way of apologising for not announcing my giveaway winner sooner. Drum roll please. With my first ever cross stitch. HUG by Emily Peacock. So she may get it. Right, off to the s...

kettleboiler: rethink
http://kettleboiler.blogspot.com/2015/01/rethink.html
Saturday, 3 January 2015. Happy New Year to you all. I hope you have had a grand festive season and are all set for 2015. We had a quiet Christmas, if you can have one with a toddler trying out his karate moves on you with the heavy end of a pumpaloon. And the workmen next door taking a total of one day's holiday (New Years Day) from using a pneumatic drill on our adjoining walls. From a great site : http:/ www.inaluxe.com/. So I chose to. Use it for inspiration and came up with this. I am super untidy a...

kettleboiler: Another weekender....
http://kettleboiler.blogspot.com/2015/03/another-weekender.html
Monday, 9 March 2015. But not a bag! A much better weekender, which involved sewing, cake, lashings of tea, chat, laughing and more food. A sewing retreat weekender! Nearly a year ago, the Stitching Together ladies mused on organising a weekend away dedicated to sewing. 9 months (and 1 impregnation) later and we were packing up Hannah's roof rack and heading to Norfolk on a Friday and staying until Sunday. The venue was a B&B called the Old Bakery in Hindolveston. Directional print fabric, you nutter!

kettleboiler: August 2014
http://kettleboiler.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 24 August 2014. I am in the middle of my own sewing hell (bee block disaster zone) so thought I'd take some time out to ponder on some of the other "issues" with my quilty antics. Inspired by Kerry @ Penny Dog. Who was inspired by Molli Sparkles. Who was inspired by Amy @ 13spools. Some of my quilty little secrets. Button available @ MolliSparkles. I don't press, I iron. I start out with really good intentions. Sometimes but always end up ironing. I've had a 12.5 inch square ruler for nearly ...

Pokeydotquilting: April 2014

Friday, April 25, 2014. Two Quilts Off the Frame. I wanted to share the latest two finishes for this week- love the week home from school! Modern Rectangles Quilt for her granddaughter. It was stitched with a horizontal loopy stitch, like a water motion. I failed to get a good picture. Next up was this Poppies quilt by Kathy, oo-oh, I wanted to keep this one! I love poppies and red is my favorite color. Kathy backed it with a rich blue plaid. Her thread is blue variegated, perfect. She is healing slowly.

Lurline's Place: It Has Been A Long Time!
http://lurlineg.blogspot.com/2013/12/it-has-been-long-time.html
Sunday, December 1, 2013. It Has Been A Long Time! And I have missed you, My Lovelies! I lead a very busy life these days and family needs have been great. I guess that will continue to be as Mother is now 95 and needs a lot of care and Hubby is 74 with quite a lot of health issues. I must say I had lost my mojo - I think that happens to a lot of us from time to time - but I must say it is back with a vengeance also! 14 Lovely People said .:.
