Garrett White: Where in the World is Garrett White?
http://makingtheleapwhite.blogspot.com/2010/11/where-in-world-is-garrett-white.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. Where in the World is Garrett White? So after a long hiatus, I am officially back. Everyone may have been wondering where I had gone and why I have had no updates, have I been racing? Feeling fresh, I started to hit the gusto again and figured I would race one of my favorite local crits, the Bartow Twlight! This also prompted my last call up and ability to wear my 2009 Florida Cup Champion jersey! Was a nice bonus too. During the next few days it progressed and got worse. Th...
Garrett White: February 2010

Sunday, February 28, 2010. As the race started, it seemed by lap 3 or 4 the main break was solidified for the day. Most teams seemed content with the break being away and the gap grew to about 2:10 before anyone had interest in chasing. At this time in the race while bunny-hopping a manhole cover at breakneck speed, I donated a bottle to the course and had to be really conscious about my fluid intake. Thanks for reading…. Sunday, February 19, 2012. It was amazing that all our guys raced so well together, especially for the first race together. Thankfully everyone kept it upright, no one flatted and no major mishaps other than some lost bottles. Everyone is looking forward to tomorrow’s double stage day and hopefully we can put some results on the board! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Orlando, Florida, United States. Garrett White: April 2010
http://makingtheleapwhite.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 26, 2010. With last Sunday's comeback in mind, I was really ready to see if the legs could handle a result this weekend. I worked a lot of mental visualization and focus coming into both days preparing myself for whatever may happen. Morning came, so did the stiffness. I made it a point to sit on my foam roller for 30 minutes before leaving to make sure I could at least have a normal range of motion. Thankfully, we had two cars for today's race, so we wouldn't all have to be packed ...There...
Garrett White: Day Two: Dreaded Double Day Day Two: Dreaded Double Day

Monday, February 20, 2012. Day Two: Dreaded Double Day Day Two: Dreaded Double Day. So let’s list a few things we know about cycling. It is dangerous and you can crash. Its mentally and physically draining. Lets list some things we know about international racing. Road obstacles and damage are unknown. Typically host nations are allowed to start teams (with riders in varying skill levels and experience). The team placed Christian Parrett in the front group, Colton Hartech at 12 seconds and myself, Victor...

They asked for volunteers, so I volunteered. I deployed and spent a year in the sandbox. I came home. The Army decided I was too broken to serve any longer and gave me temporary medical retirement. I'm a civilian again and married right back in. My husband is gearing to deploy. In the meantime, I have a strange love-hate relationship with the Army. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it doesn't. Now if only I had a Wolf to go along with it. Soon As soon as the Army tells me I can have him back. In the life of.

Garrett White
Sunday, March 4, 2012. After some thought and reflection, the stage to Bani was a mental fight from the get go, trying to sit with no skin on one cheek and having two flats even prior to starting hammered those nails into the coffin. As we started, the legs were not responding and I just told myself to make it through the first hour. And I rounded out the top 20 in one of the windier races I have done in Florida. Personally, I am looking back to getting the legs back under me and getting 100% for the fir...
