Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: Get over it
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2014/12/get-over-it.html
December 31, 2014. 2014 has been the year of surprises. And if I was being honest - they were pretty crappy surprises. Mostly due to my reaction to them. I loved staying home and when Harris' was miserable at his job and being treated poorly I didn't hesitate taking up the opportunity to provide for our family. I'm still not sure why things happened that way and why I thought I'd received "undeniable" inspiration that isn't happening. I didn't want to be pregnant. When I'd reached a week and still didn't...

Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: Some parents
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2014/05/some-parents.html
May 14, 2014. Harris and I enjoy crossfit. It's a great workout, it's an awesome release for any frustrations, we get to spend time together and it gives us a new, mutual interest. The CrossFit gym we go to has a room for children. It's got one way glass so you can see the kids but they can't see you and it's right in the room that we workout in so you can check on your kids constantly and let them out should they need to go to the bathroom or anything. Fact: I'm a Mama Bear. The worst type of parent in ...

Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: Hard but worth it...right?
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2015/07/hard-but-worth-itright.html
July 17, 2015. Hard but worth it.right? Sometimes we forget the minor (or major) details when replaying life events. "Oh pregnancy wasn't THAT bad" or "labor wasn't THAT long" or even "buying a house was fun! I'd like to take this moment to remind future me that buying a house was NOT fun, it was exhausting, frustrating, emotionally overwhelming and at most times a big pain in the ass! Turns out it was more than that. And when I'm 39 weeks? Don't mind me while I go and nap til my mum gets in tomorrow and...

Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: Never say never
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2014/08/never-say-never.html
August 28, 2014. So since my last post a lot has changed. I talked about how I worked from home and was excited to stay home full time again. I'm back at work full time. The complete opposite of what I said I was going to do. Harris stays home with the girls now. Not at all in our plan. But you know what I've learned? Never say never and always have a back up plan because when things don't go according to plan, and they very rarely do, then you're able to move on. And that's where we are now. Sometimes i...

Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: Work, church callings and anything else in between
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2014/04/work-church-callings-and-anything-else.html
April 25, 2014. Work, church callings and anything else in between. Obviously I suck at keeping up with blog posts on my own blog. I do, however, thoroughly appreciate those of you who don't so I have something to read. Life has been busy for us this year and should be calming down soon so we can focus on some of the more important jobs we have to do. Our Stake is doing Trek this year for our Youth Conference (for boys and girls 14 years and older) and Harris and I are in the Trek Directors for our Ward.

Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: 32 Weeks
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2015/05/32-weeks.html
May 28, 2015. To my unborn little girl. I have no idea how we're going to adapt to having 3 children, let alone 3 GIRLS, but your sisters are excited to meet you. Your daddy thinks being a father of all girls is the best and like I've been before every one of my kids was born - I'm uncertain. I don't know if the labor will be good, hard, long, early, late. I don't know if nursing will end in tears, impossible, exhausting, a chore, beautiful. I don't know if you'll be easy, hard, cry lots, smile. We weren...

Miranda - Harris - Kiona - Mia - Teuila: The little things
http://mataafa.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-little-things.html
April 9, 2015. I just read a journal entry I had where I'd written some very small details of my life and realized saving blogging for the "journal worthy" moments means the small ones get forgotten. So in an effort to help future me remember the small moments here goes. Mia's mispronunciation of words. Two favorites? Oooz-mik" for music and "Fa-Kay Rio" for Cafe Rio. Borderline inappropriate on the latter. Mia asking "can I come? Oh man I love my Mia Bear. Kiki's nonchalant attitude about everything....
