Where in the world is Julie?: September 2008
http://malariagirl.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Where in the world is Julie? In which I occasionally post an update on my wonderings. Monday, September 08, 2008. After we got back from Belize, we had a few days before my parents got back from their time in Seattle - we accomplished a lot! We finished moving my last items out of my condo, trucked some old furniture to the dump, and bought some new bedroom furniture. We had a wonderful whirlwind of birthdays in August - Friday, August 8th was my Dad's birthday, and we took my parents out to dinner.

Where in the world is Julie? In which I occasionally post an update on my wonderings. Monday, January 19, 2009. In Yaounde after Christmas. We spent a lot of the last week we were there hanging out in Yaounde. Over the fence of the guesthouse we stayed in, Ed could watch soccer, or more properly football games. Nothing gets the kids more excited than chasing "baby bunnies"around! Ed took pictures of other wildlife in the yard - a flock of tiny sparrows. Driving around Yaounde - past the Hilton. Paul also...
Where in the world is Julie?: December 2012
http://malariagirl.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Where in the world is Julie? In which I occasionally post an update on my wonderings. Wednesday, December 26, 2012. My new favorite place. Yes, I know I just posted pics, but every time I don't want to cook, I find myself asking Ed if he wants to go - several times a week. What's not to love - 7 minutes from home, a beautiful view of the lighthouse and waves pounding on the rocks. A little stone-walled nook all our own where JB (and Daddy) can play in the sand. Where in the world is Julie?: Walk for World Malaria Day

Where in the world is Julie? In which I occasionally post an update on my wonderings. Sunday, April 22, 2012. Walk for World Malaria Day. April 25th is World Malaria Day! Well, actually World fight against. Malaria Day) The Senegal National Malaria Control Program has a week of activities planned, and this morning, with the company of my friend Kari, I got to experience a very Senegalese way of publicizing causes - the "randonee pedestre". Kari carried Alec pretty much the whole way - either in the Moby ...

Where in the world is Julie? In which I occasionally post an update on my wonderings. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Obervation 1: Marathons always start at ungodly early hours! Ed and I were up before 5 to get ready, and catch the train into town to be at the starting line in time. And here I am at the starting "corrals"- in the pitch black, but smiling! Observation 2: Every time I run a race, it's COLD! I didn't take the earmuffs and mittens this time, but I could have used the mittens! Observation 4: Downhil...

I am thinking of something to write about: Blake Island State Park: Location of 10th Anniversary Party!
http://jthwingflaming.blogspot.com/2011/04/blake-island-state-park-location-of.html
I am thinking of something to write about. Friday, April 15, 2011. Blake Island State Park: Location of 10th Anniversary Party! When we were there before last summer, we didn't know we'd be having the party there! We're there with the sailing club again in May, so I'll take some photos of the campground, picnic shelters/areas and other facilities and post them then! View southeast of Mt Rainier and Vashon ferry. Looking north across Blake Island harbor. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
I am thinking of something to write about: Valentine's day
http://jthwingflaming.blogspot.com/2012/02/valentines-day.html
I am thinking of something to write about. Thursday, February 16, 2012. Instead of trying to catch up, I'll just say what's on my mind! For year's, Jay and I did nothing to celebrate Valentine's day, or at least nothing standard. When we first met, we had a few years of a contest for the cheesiest under $5 gift we could find. It was fun for a couple years, but ran it's course. BUT, at the end of the day, it's a holiday about love, and who wouldn't want to celebrate that? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bee's Nest: A Reason for Joy

Tuesday, April 17, 2012. A Reason for Joy. On my birthday, I was blessed abundantly. Two of the special blessings came in the form of wonderful flowers. The tulips make for a floral welcome to our home. I see them and am happy every time I enter. The roses give me another burst of joy as I see them first thing in the morning and stop to sniff them several times during the day. The homemade petit fours were fun to try. It gave me pleasure to share my flower gifts and have a garden theme. I need to give cr...
Bee's Nest: G'Day from Down Under
http://brenda-beesnest.blogspot.com/2013/02/gday-from-down-under.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2013. G'Day from Down Under. Recently we returned from a unique and special vacation with good friends. We decided to call this Bob's retirement trip. It was a blessing in so many ways. We had three couples that were our host/hostesses. Because they were local, we did and saw things that we would not have known about without them. What a privilege to make their acquaintance. We are thankful. Click here to view this photo book larger. I looked at all 71 pages :) Wow! Simple template&...

Saturday, April 30, 2011. The Whole Truth of the Tooth Hole. What do you think? A future in dentristy or politics or drama? Links to this post. Friday, April 15, 2011. Liquid Eyes and Long Lashes. Lilly and Jackson, precious grandchildren, live a thousand miles from us. What a privilege to spend a day just talking and walking and delighting in their presence. At the zoo, we were enchanted by the giraffes. Their sweet faces are so appealing with their “liquid eyes and long lashes.”. Each chose a small gif...
