This is a bit of a drive (maybe 40 minutes, mostly paved) but the benefit of staying here is that you will have electricity and running water! 1st Choice: Kwindu Lodge. 8220;Our Home”. Update on the Malawi UMC. Mchinji / Kamwendo / The Farm. We found two nice places to stay in the Balaka Circuit. The Zembani Lodge is our first choice. Unfortunately, though, the pictures from the Mlambe Motel came out a bit nicer. Either accommodation would be suitable for a group. Balaka is a nice small town with a People’s grocery store, a National Bank ATM (where you can use US ATM cards), and an internet cafe. There is also the Chifundo Artisans Network. 1st Choice: Zembani Lodge. Double with one bed.
