Saturday, February 28, 2009. The Translator, a Tribesman's Memoir of Darfur. On interviews with refugees:. Often, then, the stories came pouring out, and often they were set before us slowly and quietly like tea. These slow stories were told with understatement that made my eyes and voice fill as I translated; for when people seem to have no emotion remaining for such stories, your own heart must supply it. He got quite close, but as you can see here about 15 minutes before quitting time there are just a few finishing touches to put on it. If the rain holds off a little more we should be able to move in this weekend! Even our fencing material came in yesterday, so we're ready for the real deal. Hint: its name starts with a 'J'! Barn, Day 4.

Here we are Saturday afternoon on the front porch reading, opening a new lego set, and sorting through a million Baby Shower gifts! I think the front porch will become one of our new favorite afternoon spots, when the summer heat and afternoon sun drive us off the deck. Posted by ben @ 9:08 PM. Monday, May 25, 2009.
