Thursday, June 18, 2009. Mallory had her first dance recital and it was nothing short of precious! We loved watching our little girl "SPARKLE" on the big stage! Wednesday, April 21, 2010. We decided - very last minute - that we needed to get out of snowy Iowa. So we packed up the car for a 24 hour ride to spend the week with my family in Ft. Myers. Besides the blown tire 30 miles north of Atlanta at 3:30 in the morning, everything went smoothly. And, of course, it was all worth it! Here are a few of the highlights. We LOVE the sun! Papa was Brant's right hand man for digging holes and making lakes! Brant HAD to have this fishing pole! The week went so fast!

I have always wanted to see the cherry in the spoon sculpture and I finally convinced Ben to let us stop to see it on our way into town. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. We caught this squirrel red handed ripping the roof off of the boys' playset. Cameron was quite upset until I reasured him the tarp could be replaced. It used a bite/pull/rip action to totally destroy it. An argument between Jacob and Cameron regarding the playset roof situation broke out later and it went something like this:. Sunday, November 1, 2009. Toga only half on. Our food was very festive and very creative. This is a beautifully carved pumpkin throwing up guacamole. There were "bat wings" and since Ben is now a professional with all things pumpkin, I will add that the pumpkin cheese ball was his creation. Finally a nice day!
