EJournalist in the Making. A collection of internet bits and pieces that keep me excited about online journalism. Tuesday, October 23, 2007. For a moment today I was sad that I would be at work at 11:38, when the space shuttle Discovery would be taking off from Cape Canaveral. Then I remembered how good Florida Today. Right there on the homepage was an embedded Windows Media stream of the shuttle launch, LIVE! Friday, October 05, 2007. Why don't more people use Bloglines? This leads me to the latest feed...

I'm eager to learn to make some more exciting looking buttons too. Monday, March 19, 2007. CNNcom has a cool Flash peice. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Turning houses into homes one story at a time. Treat Yo’self 2015: An ode to Parks and Recreation. As soon as we watched season four, episode four. We knew our own Treat Yo’self Day was in order. For the uninitiated (There are many of you. You sent me texts asking what the heck we were doing that day. It’s okay.), here’s the 2-minute summary. That the YouTube user won’t let me embed here. And if you want to read some of my favorite pieces written about the show, here’s a round-up:. After breakfast we had...

Turning houses into homes one story at a time. Mallory: Our first house. Jesse and I are officially homeowners. We closed on our 1920 craftsman cottage on Wednesday and move in on May 10th. We’ve gone from a tiny condo. To a spacious loft. To our very own house (! And for the first time ever, we won’t be paying rent to. What a good feeling. Don’t look anywhere else if you need a real estate agent in Atlanta. I’m serious. Which will be great until the Braves move to Cobb County. I can’t think of a b...

Turning houses into homes one story at a time. RSS feed for this section. Mallory: Free Fancy Floral Prints. It was a Sunday afternoon and I was sick of looking at my sad-and-bare olive green wall in the dining room. Since we live in a loft, there isn’t an actual room, per se, but that creates an even bigger issue. Finding art for BIG walls is hard. I love gallery walls, and we already have a lot of that action going on around our TV in the living room:. You see our credenza underneath the shelf, right?

Before we moved in the new house, while it was being built, we’d have conversations with our kids about what color they wanted to paint their rooms. A year and a half later both kids’ rooms are still white. So what is that thing? But here’s my dilemma…I really do love this little...Offers am...
