The Malt Liquor Authority. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Schlitz Malt Liquor O.M.L. Schlitz Malt Liquor O.M.L. The Stroh Brewery Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 59% Alcohol by volume. Schlitz is the most beer-like malt liquor of the ones that I have tasted so far, but it's nose and taste are so mild as to be uninspiring. The label tells us that the abbreviation O.M.L. stands for Original Malt Liquor. Head: Thick, three fingers. Lots of lacing. Taste: Mildly sweet, and mildly bitter. June 21, 2011 at 6:10 PM.

The Malt Liquor Authority. Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Anheuser-Busch, Inc., St. Louis, Mo. No alcohol content statement. Hurricanes cause destruction, but the label on Hurricane Malt Liquor says "BRACE FOR THE SMOOTH TASTE." It also reads "Premium Malt Liquor naturally brewed for a distinctive bold taste." I might agree with the "bold taste" claim, but I wouldn't call it smooth (it also isn't destructive). It's drinkable, but I wouldn't recommend it. Carbonization: Some continued bubbling after pouring.

Head: Large head and plenty of lacing. Carbonization: Just a little bubble formation after pouring. Nose: yeasty, like when pitching yeast to make bread. Finish: moldy and dry.
