Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Back in the Saddle. Awe yeah. Today was the first day back to work at HHS. Yikes. It was awesome to see and catch up with the majority of my teacher friends. BUT it is amazing at just how much time admin can take up with meetings! Sheesh. It's like they think our classrooms will magically be ready for kids in less than a week. Posted by Mrs. Mack @ 9:56 PM. Sunday, August 14, 2005. My life is over. This past week I worked camp at St....

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Thursday, December 15, 2005. Ok I don't care how hot you are. I don't care how great your body is (or how great you think it is). Friggin Tom Brady could walk into the gym and I would PUKE if he committed the one style sin to rival the speedo: MEN IN SPANDEX. Note to self: I love brownies. I love Christmas cookies. I love wearing spandex after eating brownies and Christmas cookies. Posted by Mrs. Mack @ 7:05 PM. Sunday, December 11, 2005. Today was spent at Arunde...

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Monday, October 17, 2005. 1) Rome is awesome. If you haven't watched it, you totally should. It's history visually and with graphic violence and sex. It just doesn't get any better than that (it sure beats reading it out of some dry History book). 2) On Demand rocks. I can't stay up to finish watching Rome because my sleep schedule sucks. SO watching the part I slept through the day after is hotter than my classroom on a sunny day. Posted by Mrs. Mack @ 7:56 PM.

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Tuesday, April 26, 2005. So I've decided that things are sunnier with countdowns. And yes, the jock in me is currently singing the oh-so-fabulous tune by Europe. So here's a list of the most important countdowns to date. 16 days of asshole seniors who think they rule the world. 35 days of slacking juniors who could give a rat's ass about the rest of the school year. 1 more day of SAT class.can I get a witness? 1 week til my final.2 weeks til my presentation. Tonig...

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Friday, September 30, 2005. So there are moments that occur in every classroom that are priceless. No, I'm not talking about awakening thoughts and sparking the future leaders of our community. I'm talking about moments that ONLY WE TEACHERS would find funny.strike that.hilarious. I had such a moment yesterday. Stop touching my frontal lobe! My hypothalamus just fell on the floor." "Why is my pituitary gland smaller than yours? Leave my brain stem alone! Note to s...

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Tuesday, November 29, 2005. So when did the dentist become a somewhat enjoyable experience? 1) Metal, sharp, hooked instruments of death commonly used to scrape plaque off your teeth have been REPLACED by a water pick that uses sonic waves. What the hell? Talk about taking the fun outta it for the hygenist. No more chewing sand-esque morsels for an hour after the appointment or DREADING the rinse. No more tongue dodging! Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Back to the Grind. It is amazing to me just how fast stress hits after a week of vacation from the j-o-b. Between my students hyped on their Easter goodies, my own lack of motivation, and the rest of the daily grind beating my head.I'm EXHAUSTED. Sadness settles knowing it is only Tuesday. Ah me. Note to self: Will Smith was right.parents just don't understand. Posted by Mrs. Mack @ 7:54 PM. It's quite a ride. Welcome to my world.or so...

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Thursday, June 30, 2005. De-Nile.the best medicine? I've decided that being in denial rocks. If I don't face my sources of displeasure, then I can believe they don't exist. This is the way I'm handling Grandpa until I have to face the fact when I get to Florida. Hook, line, sinker. Note to self: Why do people get freaked out when I cry? Am I that scary? Or is it that for once I'm thinking about myself and NOT about them? Posted by Mrs. Mack @ 3:08 PM. Monday, June...

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Saturday, July 30, 2005. Movie night with Billy and Josh.good times, great oldies. There's something to be said about Brad Pitt with an Irish accent and no shirt. Wait, visualize, continue. Hot tub time and 80s jams with the boys was the perfect end to a great Friday night. Here's to more movie nights to come. =). Parentals are on there way here. ETA any time now. Get hype. =P. Became "Did you pass gas? You can say "ass," but not "fart? Tuesday, July 26, 2005.

Welcome to Turner Land. Enjoy your stay. Thursday, May 19, 2005. Adios a mi apartamento de Phillips Terrace. Suck it! It's over. No more Mean Lady. No more bowling upstairs. No more stale white walls. No more luke-warm hot water. No more buzzing in/needing a key for the outside door. No more light-stepping. I did the final walk through with Lisa and Joanie today. Awe yeah. It was a great game. Posted by Mrs. Mack @ 10:07 PM. Tuesday, May 17, 2005. Storytime with T Unit. To make a long story short: I fini...
