It was the eve of Halloween and things were feeling spooky. I had just hosted a party with a bajillion kids and my house was covered in orange frosting and candy wrappers. Monday, September 19, 2011. The boys have a new hobby. Paul took Caleb and Weston to see a skateboarding show at our local skate park. The next thing I knew, he was taking them out to buy skateboards. The next thing I knew after that, our garage had been turned into a skateboarding rink. Do skateboarders have rinks? Anyhow, I walked into my garage to find not only my own offspring, but various neighborhood boys, all with skateboards. Our garage.the cool place to be. I sure love being the mom of these.

Thursday, November 22, 2012. The road to her. To read the nitty gritty on our decision to adopt, click here. Spring 2008 Deanna's eyes are opened to the orphan crisis and asks Paul about adoption. He's unsure it would be a good idea for our family. Fall 2009 Isaac is born. Our hands and hearts are full with our three boys! Spring 2012 Paul brings it up. Deanna is nervous, but we start researching agencies. We choose to go with Lifeline. April 10 Submit our application. April 13 Application accepted.

Friday, August 31, 2012. Moving Along {adoption update}. Well, summer is almost over. We had lots of fun, but when I look back over the last few months it seems like a blur of nothing but adoption paperwork! Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Tuesday was THE most beautiful spring day here! Today, not so much, but that's Seattle for ya). We finished all of our school work with some time to spare so I decided to pack us all up and head down to a really neat trail near our house for a hike. I think the boys could have stayed there forever. There was enough dirt, rocks, sticks and trees to fulfill all their boyish dreams. It was the perfect hike. We're looking forward to many more dirt-filled summer adventures to come!

Sunday, April 14, 2013. Here is the most recent picture we've received of our daughter! Taken by a wonderful family who was traveling for their adoption of two amazing boys who we fell in love with while we were there! Call me biased, but isn't she absolutely beautiful? What a gift she already is to our family! OkI've been putting this post off for long enough! Just typing that makes my heart want to burst. Saying goodbye to her was awful and we are aching to get her home. That would take FOREVER, and B.
