July 2, 2010. Right where I wanted to - in the arse! Things got off to a grumpy start when we arrived for the race. Everyone had to pick up their timing chip that morning, at the race, and it was a complete mess. Crazy lines, nobody knew what was happening, we had to split up to get in the right lines, and then suddenly it was 5 minutes before the start and I still didn't have my chip. Grrrrrr! December 2, 2010. Big Sur Race that is not in Big Sur. And went for it. I was tickled to see my friends Carolina and Rob along the race course, and Carolina snapped the above photo. I just love it so much. She really captured the joy I felt during that race. January 2, 2011. On skiing, and triumph. We've made it something of a tradition to spend time between Christmas and New Year's in Tahoe, playing in the snow. Thursday, May 31, 2012. This is the year of babies in our family and of my second grandson, Carson Tiberius Day! What a love and joy he is, healthy and strong! My mother will have four great grandchildren by the end of 2012! Praying that each new birth brings forth a healthy child, even though that has not always been the case. No mother should ever be told her precious three year old will die by the age of 18, there is nothing you can do.take him home and love him! I believe these to be "fighting words"!

Johan underwent six major surgeries to repair his esophagus : once when he was only less than 24 hours old and the five others when he was between 1.5 and 2.
