Wednesday, 14 December 2011. Well what can I say? In short it works, looks great and is immensely practical. Now for the review ;0). Mumsnet asked me if I would like to try and review the ‘ Trolley Dolly. 8217;, I was more than happy to put this invention through its paces, it arrived as quickly as I had pressed the reply button! It was clearly created by a truly organised and practical Mum; all I can say is ‘Well done! The space it saves is amazing! It also fits easily under each of my pushchairs).

Tuesday, 10 January 2012. Just made this for tonight . Roasted four peppers and a red onion with a little fry light for about half an hour. Add a tin of tomatoes. Put in a large pan and warm through. Add some garlic to taste (i am using about five cloves). Then stir in about 200g of risotto rice and cover and cook for ten minutes. Add 200ml(ish) of veg stock. And cover and cook for another ten minutes. Then remove from heat and add some fresh basil cover with a tea towel leave for five mins then eat.

Wednesday, 3 August 2011. Pear and cinnamon fruit leather. We are indeed re-enactors, 17th century Civil War stuff mostly, tho hubby also does 18th Century stuff now and then also and quite fancy being a pirate sometime soon. I also was 'silent viking with a lucet' a few times and doubtless will be again if I am needed. The recipe goes like this;-. 500g of cooking apples/pears. Juice of a lemon. Thursday, 24 November 2011. Truffles . Christmas again =0). These are so easy it would be rude not to do them . Truffles (Basic and low fat). 1 (200g) tub cream cheese, softened( you could use quark here to reduce the fat content). 350g icing sugar, sifted. 500g plain chocolate, melted. 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla. So, I am fat . fatter than a fat thing on fat day in the great festival of all fatness in fatty land! So alongside a few other friends have decided to try and become less so, i say it this way as I don't want to say slim as slim has always eluded me. I am now on day two of 'couch to 5K' which can be found here. It is a massive step for me as for many reasons I have not been 'able' to run before, neither felt the need, leading of course to the fatness! All fabulous achievements for an old woman like me!

Wednesday, 28 March 2012. Have I really been away this long? So far the 'fat club' has freed me of 1 stone and 5 pounds. I am beginning to feel more socially acceptable and people are noticing which is a good thing! I do have to say I owe it to the threat of ritual humiliation, getting weighed on a weekly basis works for me however much it costs!
