Sunday, June 1, 2014. Coffee and Underwear (a brief update). Three weeks ago I gave up coffee. For those of you who aren't super close, I've struggled with emotional swings, mainly in the downward direction, since I had kids. More often than not I feel 'in survival mode' instead of 'enjoying life' mode. And my big boy has been doing a killer job being a big boy on the potty! I can tell it will take a while before he gets it down pat, but I'm tickled pink about how few diapers we've used this week:).

Every winter as it gets darker and darker when I'm leaving work at 5PM, I listen to people talk about how much they hate going home in the dark. I listen and try to empathize, saying something along the lines of, "Yeah, it's a real bummer." Truth be told, I don't really mind it too much. I delivered a healthy baby to help complete a family. Our kids continued to do well with their schoolwork and enjoy homeschooling.
