Visit to the Doctor. The fact that K is off is a subtle thing. It expresses itself in small irritations and exhaustion. Nothing serious, but also, they are warning indicators that shouldn't be ignored. By addressing it now, hopefully any further backslide can be forestalled. Posted by synergy @ 1:43 PM. synergy: As the light fades . . .
http://synergylk.blogspot.com/2006/09/as-light-fades.html
As the light fades . . . The lithium increase is not only linked to the shorter days. About six months ago, we began to go to a personal trainer and K upped her level of physical activity. The result is that her body seems to metabolize the lithium more quickly, so she needs a slightly higher dose. At least, we're hoping that some of the dips in her mood will be stabilized by the increase. Things are good, though I need to bring my stress under control. Posted by synergy @ 9:04 AM. Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Wednesday, June 21, 2006. It'd be easier to post these things if my eMusic subscription was billed at the beginning of the month; as it is, my downloads (90/month) refresh halfway through each month, so I get a glut of downloads on, say, the 12th and 13th, and then practically nothing for the next half-month. Anyhow, here's the new music (or some of it) for the last month. The Black Heart Procession: Spell. Cathedral: The Carnival Bizarre. ...

Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Monday, November 21, 2005. I get music generally in two fashions. First, through eMusic.com. Where for $20 a month I can download a hundred tracks- that's between 8-11 albums a month. Second, through Yourmusic.com. I'm not meaning to turn this into a commercial- I've just been pleased by both services, and they enable me to acquire much more music than I would otherwise. So, two new this month. Van Halen: Van Halen (1978). I am impressed. Y...

Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Thursday, February 16, 2006. New music this last month. For Christmas my folks got both my brother and I a Sirius satellite unit and subscription. I had long avoided the service myself, not only because of the monthly fee (which isn't exorbitant, but IS just one more thing to pay every month) but also because I was afraid of what it would do to my music selection- more exposure means more to collect. Dido: Life for Rent. Cat Power: The Greatest.

Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Friday, March 12, 2004. I'll take skim milk with that. Today AP released a news story. S new donut. Looks like they're developing a low-sugar donut, to lure dieters and diabetics. This comes a couple days after Tommy Thompson called we Americans " too darn fat. Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Saturday, April 03, 2004. The most unfun game ever. This afternoon I decided to see if I could figure out how many words per minute I am typing. I figured it would be an important thing to know. I searched "timed typing test" and came up with a site that would fit the bill perfectly- conveniently enough, it's typingtest.com. Is this what pianists do when they've mastered Rachmaninov? Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Saturday, March 27, 2004. Another day, another E-bay auction. I finally won something on E-bay. It feels like a relief. I now no longer feel the crazy desire to hunt for and bid on everything. Maybe that's just how they get you. Maybe it then comes back to haunt you and consume you from the inside. I wonder if there is someone out there cruising that auction site for strange things, or if your average buyer just. runs into. Whatever the heck th...

Technology, games, faith, music, weird news, peculiar humor. Monday, November 28, 2005. I think I'd like to continue putting my micro reviews and thoughts of music. I also don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of any particular type of music, as my process of music discovery has been intuitional and fungal, spreading from one adjacent surface to another, perhaps without any overarching guiding purpose except to continue the hunt for more and more wonderful music.
