We got all our things settled and were just waiting for friends to arrive. So I sat down on my chair to wait. Literally as I sat down.my water broke. I turned to Tyler to tell him the news only to have him respond, "Are you sure? Well, do you think I could swim for an hour or so? We think miss Hazel is absolutely perfect in every way!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011. My sister Amber and her family came from Prague to visit. Our kids are really close in age and so it is so fun when they get together. Most of the visit was spent to hanging out and playing at the house, with frequent trips to the AB&G (Allendale Bar and Grill). We had a blast though. The girls insisted on all sleep in Ava's bed. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. After debating back and forth about whether to rent or buy while we are here in NJ, we finally settled on buying this.(drum roll please). We absolutely love this little colonial for our first house. It is super old, built in 1922, which makes it very charming, but the inspection went pretty well too. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. I love the backsplash, it turned out beautiful. Tyler also put in recessed lighting under the cabinets which looks awesome. We haven't switched to the stainless fridge yet, mostly because it will cause a huge headache. They don't really make refridgerators to fit in the current space we have. Okay, Okay, we don't really live in the ghetto (or at least the ghetto of Hackensack) but it is not the part of New Jersey that is easy to fall in love with. My kids are far too familiar with word world, mickey mouse clubhouse and dinosaur train, to name a few. Far too familiar. I clearly have not been very good at my CARPE DIEM idea, right?
