Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Pear Butter with Cinnamon and Vanilla. Ok this is really good pear butter as long as you make sure of a few things. You want fresh pear from an orchard or preferably your own tree. Non of those waxy ones from the store. Bartlett Pears are the best for this but others will work. A really good brand of real vanilla not the imitation stuff. I really like Watkins brand. Fresh cinnamon and real butter no yucky oleo. 1/4 cup lemon juice( 2 fresh squeezed Lemons). 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
