Diary of A Real Mom. Friday, July 30, 2010. After Malone was first born and for a very long time after he was born, I felt like I was just surviving- barely keeping my head above water. Call it postpartum depression, call it a rough adjustment to motherhood, call it whatever you want. But that was what was true for me. And it was my truth for a really long time. After my recent pacemaker surgery, each breath I took was a joy, mainly because I still had breaths to take. I was excited to get on with life and rightly, I thanked God for sparing my life and for the plans He had for me.
