Although I like reading positive, uplifting things, I really appreciate raw, honest posts that show that it is hard being a mom, but they also really emphasize the joy. Today is Pioneer Day, a day to remember the pioneers who went before, by whose faith and hard work we enjoy all that we have today. Mamie came from pioneer stock. In fact, I do know a little about her, she was adopted into the George Canon family after coming over from England. How sad is that. Sometimes in my attempts to purge and minimize my stuff I chose the wrong things to get rid of.
