Just another WordPress.com weblog. March 19, 2008. What a difference 24 hours makes…. Beginning last Friday, our kids began their annual spring break. Because we went to Disney back in January, we are staying home for the week, and the kids are attending camps at a local Rec center. Disney in January is cheaper and less crowded (or so we thought), and I will be posting some highlights soon. I think the best part of all was that we had nothing else to do! CC’s friend, TW, had been complaining at din...

What if… | Trublonde's Weblog
https://trublonde.wordpress.com/2008/06/26/what-if
Just another WordPress.com weblog. June 26, 2008. What if…he wasn’t the starting pitcher that day? What if…the center fielder had not made some great diving catches in the second inning? What if…the catcher had overthrown first base when trying to cover a bunt? What if…the first baseman had not caught all the balls thrown to get the runners out? What if…the coach had kept him under 40 pitches to keep him available for another game? What if…I had not been there to witness it myself? Every inning that he c...

24 Hours, 100 Words. Good manners may not be my forte. But I’m a paragon of politesse compared to the main players in Panorama’s investigation into the Church of Scientology, which aired on the BBC this evening. Nobody involved covers themselves in glory. John Sweeney’s pyrotechnic outburst. I mean, I know those Body Thetans are a pain, but still. Gratuitous Gratitude: July 2007
http://gratuitousgratitude.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Sharing the joys of our everyday life. Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Celebrations now and to come. Momma went for her 3 month check up at the oncologist yesterday. Life is a 3 month cycle for her now. The first 2 months are fairly worry free, and then it is time to go back for blood work and scans. And possibly she feels some twinges in her abdomen. Or her energy level is waning. Or she just feels off. What do her scans look like? Hang in there, Whymommy. Marty, a.k.a. canape. Links to this post. We all have so...

Sharing the joys of our everyday life. Saturday, April 28, 2007. I am grateful for time spent with my husband. The mountains are where we can reconnect. Our first trip together was to Asheville. We were married in Montreat. We honeymooned in Weaverville. This weekend, we are back in Weaverville. At the Inn on Main. There will be guitar shopping and massages. Dinner out at the Sunny Side Cafe. Walking. Sitting. Talking. I am grateful that I have a person I want to be connected to. Links to this post.
