Just Because Quilts: October 2014
http://www.justbecausequilts.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. BOOgie Fever Table Runner. Here are the drawings for the fiends on the BOOgie Fever Table Fever. They can be copied onto 8.5"x11" paper then enlarged by 25%. Finished sizes are approximately 12" tall. For the women's mouths I fused a white (teeth) fabric piece on top of a slightly larger red fabric piece (lips), then fused it to the face. Details like the eyes, Mummy's bandages, Wolfie's nose, and Frank's and his bride's stitches were drawn on with a permanent black marker.

The Stitchin' RN: A scrappy tablerunner
http://stitchinrn.blogspot.com/2013/10/a-scrappy-tablerunner.html
Sunday, October 20, 2013. For Christmas table. I want to make this table runner in some very shiny fabrics- but I didn't want to practice the 'how-to' on the fabrics, so I made it out of my stash fabrics, and now after I bind it, I can use it at Christmas. The hearts and the 4 leaf hearts are done as in a trapunto technique. All but the putting of parts together were done in the embroidery hoop on my Bernina 830. (I love that machine when it behaves so nicely). I will be teaching this method in November.

The Stitchin' RN: June 2013
http://stitchinrn.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 23, 2013. Practice, Practice, Practice. It is Sunday, I have been Zentangle crazy this week. I have done several 'tangles' on paper, today I decided to try my hand at sewing a Zentangle design. First I cut an 8" block out of top fabric, batting and backing fabric. I took my sketch pad to a table and started sketching. When I was finished with the paper design I took the white top fabric, used a Frixion fabric marking pen and then drew the same design on the fabric. What do you think? Picture...

http://stitchinrn.blogspot.com/2016/05/finishing-edges-with-satin-stitch.html
Sunday, May 29, 2016. Finishing edges with satin stitch. Ever spent a long time closing the edges of a quilted project with the satin stitch? Well I found a good way to help that become an easier way, it also looks better. Well, it's pretty simple so give it a try. Follow the instructions for removing the stabilizer. Give it a try and let me know how that works for you. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Quilt Retreat at Sea. View my complete profile. Some Great Blog Sites. Fun in the Desert.

http://stitchinrn.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 9, 2012. I decided I would give a tea towel and the one or two of the main ingredients for the recipe as a gift. Hopefully I can get them finished and presented before the season is over. Tonight we are going to Tom and Dorothy Rice's home for a dinner, I plan to take this finished one and offer it as a gift. There are candy, cookie, beverage, and other holiday recipes to chose from- in all about 12 different designs. Links to this post. Links to this post. Monday, December 3, 2012.
