Painted kitchen island - oh internet

We are buying a 2-year-old craftsman style home and I want it to match its exterior style with a little bit of rustic feel. The kitchen feels SO polished and modern to me. It isnt over the top but I wouldnt mind adding some moulding to the sides of the island and maybe painting / roughing it up a little. Problem is I usually see that in kitchens with lighter cabinetry. August 13th, 2010. So glad today is Friday. This has been a really long week. One of my co-workers said yesterday that he would bring donuts today. So, he stops at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee this morning, and doesn't buy any donuts. It goes without saying that all my other co-workers are giving him a ton of shit this morning, and he won't live this one down for a good month.
