I have no clue what the science is behind these suggestions, but some food items are much better off living in your pantry than the refrigerator. That being said, it's still a good rule of thumb to refrigerate when in doubt. Here is a list of items to chill or not to chill:. Chocolate candy - melts in your mouth and not all over your hands.
