Friday, October 28, 2005. What I think of October is. Halloween which is known widely even in Japan lately. Some people display the pumpkin pot(Jack-o'-lantern) in front of their houses. Some shops have sales after the event. I've been truly interested in the featival of Oct. 31st from when I was a child. I longed to join it wearing a special costume! How interesting it looks! Posted by Rie @ 11:50 AM. Friday, October 21, 2005. My mother said, "maybe it could be a kind of custom in our family.but the...

Friday, January 13, 2006. Posted by Rie @ 1:25 AM. Perhaps the first step is to reflect on how often and frequently you are late and see if there are any patterns. Are you always late, or is lateness more frequent at one time of day? Are you more likely to be late for certain events (say. class) or are you late to everything? Yawata, Kyoto, Japan. I'm a person like to do everything at my own pace, and to think everything with optimistic way at all times. I like to travel or just to visit hot springs.

sweet apple juice: Japanese Films
http://sweetapplejuice.blogspot.com/2005/12/japanese-films.html
Sunday, December 18, 2005. Posted by Rie @ 10:12 PM. Japanese films are more "inspiring" than western. I like the "mist", the "feel" of Japanese films. Western films are more direct and simple. Japanese are more deep I think. I also think Japanese films are more deep. Lots of Japanese films have an unclear ending. So, we can imagine various ending as we feel the film should has. That's interesting, isn't it? By the way, SAYURI(Memoirs of Geisha) was really great! Have you watched it? Yawata, Kyoto, Japan.

KGU ESL3 Blog: 12.01
http://kguesl3.blogspot.com/2005/11/1201.html
Wednesday, November 30, 2005. I am curious to know which communication style you prefer and in what situation you prefer it. I would say in my class, most of you are pretty well reserved: you don't usually wish to offer your opinions or speak up in the whole class setting, and yet in small groups, you often chat away at great length. So I would say in large groups maybe many of you prefer to be reserved. Well what about at your house, in your home with your family. Are you reserved or not? Why / Why not?
