The Low Family: Toronto Monday
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/2015/06/toronto-monday.html
Monday, June 8, 2015. The boys, Leslie, Jen and Emily are in Toronto. It will be busy with: moving out of the rented condo, refitting the boys prosthetics, and EUA's. We did apologize at the end of the flight for the mess. :). We will update about EUA's on Wednesday, praying we can have a repeat of last time, with no new tumors, and no growth for Thomas' stubborn tumor. Boys in their darling scrubs, courtesy of "Super Sophia Project". June 9, 2015 at 8:16 AM. I love the scrubs! June 9, 2015 at 11:35 AM.

The Low Family: EUA's today - 4/13/2015
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/2015/04/euas-today-4132015.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. EUAs today - 4/13/2015. All 3 boys had EUA's in Calgary today. As much as they've grown to love Toronto, it was nice to stay a little closer to home. :). Hooray for wonderful news! Had a stubborn tumor recryoed. Was all clear - no treatment needed. Was also all clear - no treatment needed. At the beginning of this journey, many RB families would say, "Just hang in there, it gets better." I think it's starting to get better. Next appointments are in 8 weeks. 8 weeks! Love, Susan W.

The Low Family: RETINOBLASTOMA
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/p/retinoblastoma.html
Our boys have H. We asked the same thing. We'd never heard of it until it was our reality. Retinoblastoma is a rare cancer of the eye that arises from the retina, a thin layer of nerve tissue that enables the eye to see. Most cases involve only one eye (unilateral), but in some patients, both eyes may be involved (bilateral). Children with the hereditary form of retinoblastoma are also at a slightly increased risk to develop tumors and other cancers, such as a bone or muscle cancer, later in life. Nearly...

The Low Family: The Last Little While
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-last-little-while.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2015. The Last Little While. Just some pictures from the last few weeks. The boys first time self feeding with a spoon. They love it, Leslie's hesitant to give them that much freedom! Food fights here we come! Sure is growing up. Thomas saying "no no no". He hears. Us say it so much that if we ever say no to someone, he starts saying it to them too - like the good older and wiser big brother. :) PS - It's usually Mason we are telling no to, Mason gets told no a lot - ha ha.). Has his...

The Low Family: EUA's Today
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/2015/07/euas-today.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. All 3 boys had EUA's today, in Calgary. It's nice when they don't have to travel quite so far from home for these exams. Was first today. No treatment needed! Went last and was all clear, no treatment needed. 2/3 all clears isn't bad. We are grateful that these trips are getting easier. It was a little disheartening because we are still waiting for that all clear for all 3 boys in the same visit. That has yet to happen! Let's keep Luke in our prayers, that the tumor doesn't grow.

The Low Family: What is this?!
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/2015/03/what-is-this.html
Saturday, March 28, 2015. As Leslie was feeding the boys breakfast, she turned to feed Luke and when she turned back around to Thomas he was holding his eye with a look of confusion. Sweet Thomas, that would be your eye.and no, it's not something the average child can do. April 1, 2015 at 12:01 PM. Oh too funny, he really does look confused. April 2, 2015 at 1:43 AM. The battle of keeping a hat on a kids head seems so mundane after reading this! April 2, 2015 at 1:48 PM. April 5, 2015 at 1:45 PM. Needs e...

The Low Family: OUR STORY
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/p/the-story.html
Browsing the news headlines, one catches your eye - 'TRIPLETS WITH RARE EYE CANCER'. You read the heart wrenching story and follow a link to a family blog. .and here we are. Never did we think our humble family blog would become a blog people besides relatives would find interesting. Prior to the triplets and cancer, I assume we were a family a lot like yours! I (Leslie) grew up in Utah, the youngest of 8 children. Richard grew up in Alberta, the 4th of 8 children. We replied, "Natural.". After returning...

The Low Family: Cancerversary
http://lows-lowdown.blogspot.com/2015/02/cancerversary.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. One year ago today, all three boys were diagnosed with cancer. I've been surprised today that I haven't felt sad, at all. I purposely have not gone back and read the blog because I don't want to dwell on those sad memories surrounding their diagnosis. Some things are better to be forgotten (at this point). How was Richard going to be able to keep up with his schooling? What could I do for poor poor Benson whose life was going to be turned upside down? I had so much on my mind.
