Living, Loving, and Laughing with Autism. Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Aidan's conference was tonight. He is very smart, which we already knew- he is at a fifth grade reading level, and goes to ELC for reading and math. More importantly, those behaviors are getting fewer and he is becoming more independent. It was quite honestly the best conferences we have had in years! I am so thankful for the all the people who work with my boys! I might actually look forward to Spring conferences:). Visit to the Grotto.

And the trip to Ames was not a total waste as we made a stop at Sam's Club and I will not need to buy toothpaste or tampons for quite some time. Friday, July 5, 2013. Meet me in St. Louis. Summer is here, and that means a family vacation. This year, we decided on a long weekend to St. Louis. Our First Stop: the St Louis Zoo(Of Course). Second Stop: Magic House- Children's Museum where Eli took over for Obama for a bit.

Sometimes, I focus so much on how hard it is to have a child with autism: the tantrums, the therapy I am trying so hard to find, the medication(do we or don't we), the school. I forget how hard it is to actually BE Eli. On this day he reminded me. Despite the trip over, the appointment went well. She referred us the someone who works out of their office, but closer to home. We meet her in 2 weeks- wish us luck! Thursday, July 18, 2013.
