About the teacher

Viola Iken has undergone a two year Yoga teacher training course at the Mandala Yoga Ashram near Llandeilo in Wales, which teaches and promotes the techniques of the Bihar School of Yoga. She holds a teacher training certificate from the Ashram and a Diploma from the British Wheel of Yoga (the governing body for yoga in the UK). In addition, she has undertaken training, and attained a teaching licence for, the Five Tibetan Rites.

Viola’s teaching practice is based upon the Hatha School of Yoga, but in addition she also teaches the Five Tibetan Rites. This includes a blend of classical postures (Asanas), breathing practices (Pranayama), deep relaxation and meditation techniques:.
