The Brown Family: June 2015
http://parkerandedenbrown.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. Our seats were pretty high up but the kids still enjoyed their first Broadway play. Eden may or may not have fallen asleep during the entire second half of the play but she still said she like it! The only thing that would have made it better is if they had served popcorn during the play! Our Girl's Afternoon Out wouldn't have been complete without a little ice cream on the way home! Thanks Aunt MerMer for a fun afternoon! Saturday, June 27, 2015. Friday, June 26, 2015. He always d...

The Rowland Family Blog. Monday, June 22, 2015. Florida - On the Way. This year our family went with my parents and sisters to Seacrest, Florida. It was our first vacation to the beach, and the kids loved it. My whole family got to the rental house we were staying at on Saturday, but Jon had to work that day. I got everything packed in the car so that as soon as he got home on Sunday morning we were ready to go! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Florida - On the Way.

The Rowland Family Blog: October 2014

The Rowland Family Blog. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Fairy Tale Pumpkin Project. Addison was given a project in her class to choose a fairy tale character and decorate a pumpkin to look like that character. With a little influence, Addison chose Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast. She was so excited to decorate her pumpkin, and it ended up being really easy and cheap to make. She did a great job putting it together, and I think it turned out really cute! Sunday, October 26, 2014. Inside they had differ...

The Brown Family: February 2015
http://parkerandedenbrown.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Last night, our school hosted their 3rd annual Literacy Night for students and parents. My good friend, Emily, and I co-chaired the event and we had so much fun planning this year's event. We chose the theme "I Spy a Good Book" and asked all the teachers to dress up like Where's Waldo. We were so excited at how many teachers participated and I think it made the night so much more fun! The kids had a great time and everyone went home with lots of new books! Cory's lesson went we...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Colorado Vacation- Day 1- HikeMS. We started our Colorado vacation with the HikeMS this year and it was a great way to begin our week in the mountains! Emily and her family weren't able to join us for the hike this year (insert sad face) but Meredith and some of Cory's family were able to come so we ended up having a large hiking group. Six mile hikers- Meredith, Parker and Amy. Two mile hikers- Granstan, Granna. Eden, Taylor, and Lily. Crossing the finish line. After the hike, ...

Sunday, August 9, 2015. Colorado Vacation- Day 6. On Thursday, Cory decided to take Parker on a gold panning tour. He got to pan for real gold and came home very excited to show me his vial of gold! I knew the girls would not like the tour so I took them to the local Children's Museum. They have been asking to go to the museum for a few years but we have never made it there to play. We spent several hours at the museum and the girls had a great time! They enjoyed playing doctor in the hospital station,.

Friday, March 25, 2011. Do you remember the show from where I borrowed the name for this post? A riot to see! I would think that if I had eight kiddos, I would have agreed with the title quite a bit. More than quite a bit, actually. :). But, we are blessed with three kids and often, I honestly don’t feel that is enough. But, God does, and so I’m going with that. Today marks two weeks since my last one. I have done a good job of staying flat for waaay more days than they recommend, just to be safe....

Saturday, May 21, 2011. Grounded 'Til I'm 21. I’m not sure about you, friend, but I can remember many an hour that I spent in the isolated world called “grounded”. Modern mathematics simply cannot add up that many hours in order to give you some outlandish total, but trust me, friend, it’s big. For me, a true sanguine personality, being grounded was bru-tal. Seriously, it was torture, people. For those of you not familiar with the four personality types, a sanguine is generally described as b. Ya, me too.

Thursday, September 29, 2011. 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall. Many, many, many. Very little from his class, as is evident from my World War XVII. Confessions. What I do remember is that every single day, he began the class by. Asking us to complete the following sentence by a man and great coach he admired, John Wooden. Coach Adams would let us know class was beginning by saying “Of all the laws of learning…” and we, as a class would say in unison. With utter boredom in our voices. I can say with near ce...
