Our family, a work in progress. Friday, January 20, 2012. Hurry up and wait. When I was a kid I couldn’t wait for anything. I couldn’t wait for Christmas, my birthday, summer vacation and so on. I wanted time to go super fast. As I got a little older, it didn’t seem as important and I could wait. In school I wanted time to drag out so I wouldn’t have to go to that dreaded next class or take that awful test. As a young adult, time started going by way too fast. Most days seemed way too long. I knew Shiloh was a girl. No doubt. Dreamed it, felt it. Out she came with girl parts and I was confirmed. Admittedly, not findng out Shiloh’s gender was difficult. I really enjoyed the fun of not knowing, but it was so damn tempting! 8221; When the doctor said, “it’s a girl! I feel oddly like I’m cheating! Once Jack...

From A Sesame Seed. Bump Pics: From woman to whale. Why I write/ About Megan. Why I write/ About Megan. My child is currently about 16 months old. She is light and air and wind and rain. She speaks in tongues, but does have a few words in her repertoire. I pretty much think she’s the world’s perfect child, perfectly imperfect. She is our world. I have a 1.5 year old black lab named Gracie- she is my bane and my love. We have a true love hate relationship, but the love rows each day! I love this Meg.

Today, after my weekly 60- hour epic separation from Shiloh, I met her and her grandma at Whole Foods to pick her up. I am always giddy with happiness to see her after her two nights at her grandparents, and the hour and a half drive seems double as long. I wonder if that’s what she thought. That I magically showed up and it was just a chance meeting. You are co...
