Wow, so far 2012 has been a year of craziness! Maybe God is trying to prepare me to be able to handle life with a bambino? I'm kind of hoping to get a breather before the baby chaos begins though! Anyways, last week my husband gave us a little scare.which isn't a nice thing to do to a preggo lady who may already be a little extra hormonal. This whole story began in december though. maybe a year before that actually, though we had no idea. He did pretty well for about a month, so we hoped for the best!

So with our daughter jia we decided to be surprised and wait until the birth to find out the gender. it was a ton of fun, and i totally recommend it! After a hard 36 hour labor it was a pretty cool moment to look down and learn i had a baby girl. At first i wasn't sold on the idea, but then when jia started saying she wanted a "girl baby" and i realized she wouldn't be there in the delivery room to share the moment of truth with us i changed my mind. this is a big life event for all of us as a family...

This is the last post about jia's 2nd bday.i promise.but i couldn't leave out the party! Compared to last year, we had a really simple party for jia this year. it was pretty much just a family party this time around. I loved jia's party last year. So this time we just celebrated with relatives and people she is really familiar with and she had an absolute blast, and it was way less work for me too! The theme was just a simple backyard birthday. i wanted to take full advantage of having our new patio!

Friday, February 14, 2014. I haven't blogged in almost a year! Having Tejay has been one of the greatest seasons of happiness and also the busiest! Between c-section recovery, figuring out parental basics, learning how to become a working mom, and having 12 visits with family and friends in town on top of a few trips of our own, I'm just now getting back into the swing of things! Sunday, June 19, 2011. Most people don't even know that I own a pair of prescription glasses. I never wear them. They are the weakest prescription you can get and I got them when I was in grad school and reading tons. Anyhow, I've been working about 12-14 hour days for the past couple days. Today, my eyes are strained big time. So out came the glasses! I partly pulled them out to show Kelly since he just got a prescription for reading glasses. (I can't wait to see what he picked.). A day at the farm. Today we took a little family excursion to a blueberry farm about an hour and a half away. The day was a little warm, but it was an amazing time.
