Saturday, April 9, 2011. My own Cake Wreck. Above is the cake I made for my husband's birthday. He wanted a spiderman cake, but my daughter said an iron man cake. She wins all arguments,.always. Plus, I like Robert Downey, Jr. better than Tobey Maguire. But if you've never visited the Cake Wrecks blog. I recommend you nominate the above for consideration. 1 oz vodka (or citrus vodka, if available). 1/2 oz Cointreau orange liqueur. 3 oz pomegranate juice. 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice, for garnish. Lemon slice, for garnish. Sugar, for garnish. Wet the rim of the cocktail glass with the lemon juice. Place sugar in a flat dish or saucer and dip the rim of the cocktail glass into it, to produce a ring of sugar stuck to the lemon juice as a decorative rim around the glass. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 20 seconds. 60ml (or approx 2 oz) Gin.
