Sunday, June 2, 2013. End of the Year. Thursday was the last day of school for students. The teachers did a lot of fun activities to celebrate the end of the year (parties, tie dying t-shirts, chapel summary with a clown, etc). Then Friday was a work day and lunch for teachers. At the lunch everyone who was not coming back had to get up in front and people said things about them. Sunday, August 26, 2012. Yesterday my parents asked “Are you going to update your blog soon? I checked and it’s been over 2 weeks so I guess it’s time again. First, school information…. We’ve finished the first 2½ weeks of school. I’m still not sure what my schedule will look like in the elementary school because I have to wait until all the teachers get their schedules set before I can work on mine. I am teaching an English class again this semester. I was only expecting 1 class so this was a surprise.

Saturday, April 20, 2013. I'll only be living in Colombia for 45 more days. It’s hard to believe my time here is almost over. In 46 days I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ve mailed 5 applications but haven’t heard anything back. I try to remind myself something will come up, but being patient and waiting is so hard. A new cycle of English classes recently started. This time I have 2 new students. It’s amazing how much 2 students can change the class. They are so much more talkative now.

This week high school students are on their service trips. Elementary and middle school students have a ½ day of school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
