Monday, September 25, 2006. This recipe takes a bit more time, but it's worth it. You don't need much in the way of food - some butterfly porkchops, flour, pepper and olive oil. In a skillet brown the porkchops, adding an ounce or so of olive oil. Once browned, perhaps not more than 3 minutes of cooking on medium heat, add 10 oz of water, reduce heat to very low, cover skillet. Sunday, September 17, 2006. This is not for the faint of heart. literally. Take 1-2 Idaho potatoes (large ones) and cut them into slender wedges. 2 potatos should fill a medium sized pyrex pan. Heat the oven to 400F. Put half a stick of butter into the middle of the pan along with the potatoes. Cook for about an hour. It'll be a bit splashy. With 5 minutes left, pull out the pan and sprinkle some shredded cheese atop the potatos. Take your pick on the cheese - whatever you like best.
