Mangaorapa Estate is 48km south east of Waipukurau, mid way between the main wine growing regions of Hawkes Bay and the Wairarapa. The red boundary line shows the 105ha of argilite terrace grape growing land. The existing 17ha vineyard is sited at the western end of the block. The outer yellow line shows the boundary of the Mangaorapa Station pastoral land relative to the grape growing block when the vineyard was first planted. Designed by Total Office Management.

Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc have been planted in our vineyard because these early maturing varieties are ideally suited to the cooler Southern Hawke’s Bay climate, which is more similar to Martinborough and Wairarapa than the traditional Hawke’s Bay clime.
