Two Society member Richard and Anthony Goulding (Father and son)bought it and it was moved to Mangapps Fm Rly, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex 4th August 1999 and restored by them the restoration being completed in XXXXX. No 8 is currently the mainstay of steam operations at Mangapp's. Tractive Effort @85% boiler pressure. Total Weight in working order.

No 2613 was originally designed as a narrow gauge locomotive to go to work in the coal fields in Turkey. But just as construction was starting it was commandeered as part of the war effort and built as standard gauge. The Walschaerts valve gear, shown clearly in the illustration above is very unusual in a locomotive of this size and type. Heating Surface - Tubes.

In 1987 some of the Society’s members had jointly acquired another locomotive, obtained from the Big Pit Railway. Toto was 1 of about 12 similar loco’s owned by The Blaenavon Co Ltd they became coal board property on nationalisation in 1947. Only Toto and Nora survive. Tractive Effort @ 85% Boiler Pressure. East Essex Locomotive Preservation Society. Burnham on Crouch website. Essex Steam Train (in USA). Minnie (NO 358) Built by Fox Walker in 1878. Sat, 28/11/2009 - 21:14. Minnie is an 0-6-0 saddle tank with 13" cylinders. Minnie is believed to have been used as the contractors engine in the construction of the Easington tunnel on the Whitby, Redcar and Middlesborough Union Railway. She then went to the Skinningrove Iron Co. where she was used as a shunter until 1963.

It was acquired by Martin Staniforth in September 2002 a Society member and has been transferred to Mangapps Farm Railway Museum for restoration. Work has started on the boiler, the chimney has already been restored. 489 sq. ft. 775 sq. ft. Tractive effort at 85%. Locomotive Report April 2015.
